Hi
I have the 15" mbp 2.2Ghz early 2011 8GB ram and I am wondering how many CPU cores I should assign to the virtual machine running windows 7 64-bit in parallel?
My mbp has 8 cores, I assigned 4GB ram and I was going to assign 4 cores to windows but now after reading a little bit, I am in doubt again as many people say you don't need more than 2 CPU cores for virtual machine.
Please advise
Thank you

It really depends on what Windows apps you plan to run. I only assigned 2 cores because my Windows use is minimal.

I generally assign a maximum of half the number of cores in the computer. So in your case max 4? And as for RAM, Just be careful assigning 4GB. If your like me and run LOADS of applications in the background it can max out your ram pretty quick. I generally assign 2GB for the virtual machine with a system total of 8GB

As was said before. this does differ with application.
