I have the 2017 non Touch Bar MacBook Pro. I just read up that most MacBooks since 2012 can support 2 external monitors officially, but each model year will depend as to the resolution it can handle for each monitor. For example, something along the lines of 2012-2015 MBPs can do two 2K monitors, while the 2015s can handle two 3K monitors and the newer 2016-2019 MBPs can do two 4K monitors, or one 5 monitor.
I suppose I’m looking for definite answers since I’ve seen on YouTube some people going all out and having like 6 monitors on the wall above their desk, but I’m guessing they wouldn’t be 4K monitors and perhaps monitors that are like 10 years old, including the last Apple Thunderbolt displays.
