Put me in with the other zero's :p

I am only 20 but everyone my age seems to have a cell phone. It really seems to annoy people when they ask for my cell number and when i tell them I don't have one they just stare. And i know for a fact that people call my landline and never leave messages even though they want to talk to me.

Everyone that knows me thinks it is weird that I don't have a cell phone seeing as I am huge into tech.

Oh well, I actually really like not being able to be contacted every five minutes.

Excellent! That's good. If I had it my way I'd have no phone, but because I go out running on the moors then I really need a phone. Funny too, one of my lecturers is a huge Apple lover and really into tech, but he only upgraded from his Nokia 3210 last year! I'm sure it's a 5 year old phone now.

*hangs head in shame* Is it terribly bad that I don't know? Can't be too many hours since I almost never get billed over the flat $50 a month (unless I receive/send any text messages, the jerks charge me for every single txt.).

well not sure how much you text, but if it's more than like $5/mo worth, you should look into getting unlimited text plans... verizon is like 10 cents a pop, or 5 bucks for unlimited.. i think

I have 250 minutes and 1150 texts a month.
I probably use all the texts and about 10 minutes of calls.

Nope. :p I almost never text anyone, so it's really whether or not people text me (which at most adds a $3 charge on rare months). But maybe I should consider getting that add-on. Hmm... (and did you just happen to know I'm w/ Verizon, or were you speaking from personal experience?)

You aren't alone in your shame. :D I don't know how many I use either. All I know is that it's been a very long time since our bill has been more than expected. I'd have to guess that the number of minutes used has gone down since getting married and living with the person I talked most with on the phone. Now, we just have the occasional longer calls to friends and family.

Back when business was good, I'd use around 3000-4000 minutes each month, consistantly.

Now, I'm down to around 1200-1500. This is partially because I use Skype as much as possible while it's still free. ;)

like an hour. I hate the phone but I use the home phone when I have to actually talk talk. I do text a lot however, about 400-500 per month. (I am allowed 500 txt and I think 200 minutes) it costs £20 per month, T-mobile.

I have 700 minutes/month...I used maybe 300-400 a month, but I'm not sure what percentage of that gets split into free nights and weekends. I wind up making the most calls at night and on weekends, as I'm in class on weekdays.

Two hours or so. Of course, I only give my number to the important people and give even the priviledged few strict orders to email me if a call isn't absolutely necessary.

Less than an hour a month.

For me, e-mail is my main form of electronic communication. Perhaps because things aren't that urgent and I now have different schedule than my friends .... so e-mail just sits there & waits for you.... and you answer it when you feel like it....

Also I have an ancient verizon phone Motorola V60. The antenna breaks off every once in awhile, but it sure has taken a few drops with no problems.

zero, as in 0

burned my cell, charger, and case/cover when i left the rat race. smelled like victory!, made a really loud 'bang' when the battery exploded... wouldn't recommend this to others.

On our family plan, I used the majority of the 700 allotted minutes, about 450. 475ish altogether. And about 300 night/weekend minutes. Most used for data.

I don't have a text messaging plan and in order to not get raped by the charges, I don't text. A major "WTH!" for me being 15.

BTW, is it sad that the billing cycle restarted and I have about 55-70 N/W minutes on there already?

Less than an hour a month. I only use my phone for emergencies if I have trouble with the car or if I have to place a long distance call during the business day, both of which are very rarely.

I only got a cell phone earlier this year, and I kind of wish I didn't have one at this point. When my contract runs out, assuming I have a different job (mine now sort of requires a cell phone to a degree), I don't necessarily plan to keep having a cell phone. As it is, I have a family share plan with 1400 minutes. I use about 200-400 minutes per month, while my brother uses about 1200 (only counting non-free minutes here). I don't have a landline either. I don't like talking on the phone at all, and prefer to talk to somebody in person or via email by far.
