Currently, 432/1076 songs have never been played. My song count should be higher than 1076 - the reason it isn't is because I discovered a popping problem with my last rip and figured out how to fix it, so now I have to re-rip all the affected songs (around 3,000 or so last time I checked were affected, not counting the 5,000-odd I never got around to ripping before I found the pop).

I have 3 thousand something songs, and I haven't listened to 99% of them since I had to re-import my library a couple months ago. The song with the most play count is Rabbit Run, by Eminem, at 450.

I have 160 songs never played. Actually, that means that I never finished playing them, since the counter updates when you finish the song.

I confirmed that with a little test. If you play a song until 1 second left and then switch songs, the playcount does not increment. If you play a song by skipping to 1 second from the end and letting it play only that one second (never having heard the rest of the song), the playcount increments.

Yup, i've discovered that too. It only raises the playcount if the song comes to an end, that's all it can see.

I've got 214 (out of my personal library of 2572) that I haven't listened to yet. Mainly, they're songs that I've only recently imported – I've been having a bit of a mass import of some of my older CDs that I hadn't got around to putting into iTunes before.

When you compulsively collect all the free weekly iTunes, you get a lot of music that isn't worth listening to.

I listen to all my music- even the free downloads... if I dont like it, I delete it...

That drives me crazy - especially on those 'hidden' tracks where you can't be bothered waiting for the end of it. I wish they could do something that triggered the playcount if you'd listened to 80% of the track.

2 088 with play count 0 and 1 912 with play count 1 out of 10 748 songs total. Not too bad. There's always some albums that I just rip and forget...

On the other hand: I have 1698 with a play count higher than 10, of which 69 has a count over 100... ;)

Why do they have to be integers? They could track the percentage you actually listen to, making them a much more accurate representation of your listening habits!

Yea i would like to see that as well. I have a lot of songs that i listen only to a certain point in the song then i change the track and the play count will not update.

Bless

When I plan to switch songs after listening to one, rather than let it continue down the playlist, I sometimes find myself waiting the extra second or two when a song goes silent at the end, to let the counter get to 0:00 and make sure I get "credit" for having played the song.

55 out of 1683. I'm sure I've listened to them all at one point because the ones with 0 play counts I've unchecked because I wasn't too found of them. Maybe I should give them another shot and create a 0 count smart playlist.

Highest counts:
Hella Good - 218
Seven Nation Army - 214
Platinum Blonde Life - 206
F**k The System - 203
...then everything else under 200

Always on random, just the way it works out

Lastseconditis - I suffer from that too... Especially since otherwise it stays on the 'Not Heard Recently' list.

I am currently at 3 out of 3925 that I haven't listened to.

But, thanks to my friendly iPod, I will hear them in the five or ten minutes that it takes me to walk to the Metro station on the way home. One was downloaded three days ago and the other two are free songs of the week. Of course, I did go a couple of months where all I listened to was stuff off my unplayed list. My best of the best (5 star, 100 most played and played in the last month) playlist was not happy with me.

Out of 5800 songs, 2252 haven't been played completely but I've listened to snippets of all of them and a lot are rated so end up in my playlists. I've been trying to get everything rated since I owned an iPod but it's a very slow process.
