How many iPhones do you think Apple sold during the September 13th 5AM Pre-Order event?

I tried searching with luck.

I ordered one, but I am just curious.

Anyone have an idea?

Unfortunately we do not know. I believe Apple stopped releasing this info couple years back. We won't find out till their quarterly report I guess.

I feel like the $699/$999/$1,099 pricing is pretty good. Mainly the iPhone 11.

First of all, I’ve never pre/ordered anything before now. So maybe new buyers are getting in on this too. If it convinced me, then maybe a lot of other buyers as well.

10,489,871.

Fail. It was 10,487,673. ;)

But seriously - if you think about the IUP as essentially the equivalent of what the Detroit carmakers used to do with their leasing programs, I am thinking of the IUP as rental rather than purchase, and I say that as an IUP "buyer." I wonder what the proportion of IUP "sales" to "real" sales is? Apple will never tell us, of course.
