Hi guys, I've just received an iPhone 7 from work and wanted to know if I could add it to my Apple ID and iTunes account if I already have another 2 iPhones, an iPad, a Mac Pro and Apple TV attached to the same ID.

If so, how would I go about doing this please?

One Apple ID per phone. If the work phone is locked down with another Apple ID, you can’t sign out unless you know the password.

Hi mate, thanks for your reply. My work phone has no Apple ID at all. I was hoping that I could use my existing Apple ID which has a heap of music and apps already on it, which I can then sync to my work iPhone. Would this work?

You can have many phones on one Apple ID. I have 4 XS Max phones, an 8+, 7+, iPad pro, iPad Mini 2 and an iPad mini 4 all in the same ID.

Thanks mate. And strewth dude, that's a lot of phones and tablets you have!

The only thing I recommend doing if you have more then one phone on the same id is to turn off iCloud drive. If you keep that setting on, calls will show in the call log on all phones and make it really confusing to know what number received the call. I learned that the hard way.

Thanks for the tip mate. I'm going to be turning everything off except iTunes music. No contacts, calendar, notes.... Nothing but music :)

Thread revival - I'm going to give my iPhone to my wife as her Nexus 5X met the dreaded bootloop death!

If I reset my iPhone to stock, will it automatically come off Apple ID'S list of devices? Or do I need to manually remove it from the list of devices?

I would log out of all accounts on the iPhone before resetting. Turn off "Find my iPhone" as well.

Here's a support document from Apple that covers some of what you're trying to do.
