2: TRS80 Model 4 ........arguably the original iMac?
3: Leading Edge 286
5: TC Pentium 1MMX
6: Old Apple PPC I "tried" to restore....still have monitor
7: AMD Athalon 1.1GHZ ....rebuilt from parents old Compaq AMD K6 shell, later sold.

Present: 1: iMac DV 400MHZ with 320mb sdram, 60gig firewire
2: Alienware Aurora Athalon XP2100+ loaded
3: Compaq Presario 1ghz Duron Laptop, much better then original Comcrap K6 Presario desktop.

P.S. Been using computers since I was 9 years old......28 now
:D

I'm keeping my iMac for as long as it runs, and my "next" sytem will be an Apple eMac..... once it gets to G4 GHZ and 80-100gig HD......it's almost there......just a couple more upgrade cycles to go :D

I shouldn't have.......

..............I mean i'm not exactly a millionaire........ and I have plenty of computing power already .....especially on the PC side........ but ........ I couldn't resist. I just added 1 more Mac to my portfolio. I picked up a Dual 1Ghz Powermac and a 19in? Formac Monitor. ....too good to pass up, last one they had at some small online store..... all the major retailers have been out of the Dual G4 quicksilvers for over a week! Best thing of all is it's $1000 less then what Apple was asking for it just a month ago......plus I'm not exactly sad that I won't have to look at the new Powermac's case! Quicksilver looks much better then the new model.......

Classic II - got it from a friend a couple of months ago.

Powermac 7100. Replaced my performa 630.

iMac 400/dv - wich i'm gonna trade in and buy a eMac. Ineed the speed for videoediting and I don't have money enough for a tower or a flat iMac.

My first love is a performa 630. I sold it to a friends brother years ago but I'm gonna buy it back someday.

One. Well not yet, but I just ordered it a few minutes ago. Got this week's special at General Cybernetics (12.1" iBook 700, 10GB iPod, AppleCare, Mobility 1 Case, 512MB RAM and Airport Card). Can't wait to get it - my first Mac ever! :D

he he he...that is so awesome to see u guys not only getting your first Macs...but to be getting them from General Cybernetics! :D

as for my Mac collection:
1) Rev. B 667 TiBook
2) PowerMac 8500
3) PowerMac Workgroup Server 8550
4) Starmax 4000/200 (clone of the 4400)

I only really use my TiBook (naturally) for everyday use as well as freelance work. The Starmax is currently at Macrosoft's place being used for extended game play. The 85xx boxes are sitting in my bedroom, waiting to get taken apart and forged into one working server for backup purposes. ;)

Dinosaurs...

Well, i thought i had a problem with my stock of Dinosaurs, but it seems i'm waaaaayyyyyy behind some Mac-users !

Currently in stock: LC, Classic II, Centris 610, PB 3400 c, PM 4400.
I sold my first Apple IIe some 10 years ago... :(

Nowadays, i especially use the 3400 and 4400, both connected to ADSL. It IS nice to have two computers side by side for working on different tasks, especially when installing stuff (and crashing...).

I'll get a G3/400Mhz upgrade soon for the 4400, and hope to have a REAL Tower before next year - then turning the 4400 into my server, and the 3400 into my living-room MP3 player :)

For the rest, i don't know. I remember seeing one a MacPlus turned into an aquarium... :D

Arnaud.

Wow, I saw this thread and figured it wasn't going to surprise me, but it did. I'm really impressed by the number of members who have more than 5 machines - wow.

I only have two. Someday there will be a 3rd and probably more, but I'm waiting for the next gen of PowerMacs....
