I have noticed that on my S3 the exercise ring closes when I reach 27 to 28 minutes of activity. I thought it closed at 30 minutes? Every morning I take the dogs out for a 5k walk, and since I have had the new watch I get a vibration to notify me that I have closed the ring and that's usually at 28 minutes.

What is your experience?

Always been 30 for me. Have you checked in the Activity app to see if it matches up with what’s showing on the watch?

Though you can control the ring for other than time or change the time
I could be thinking about the move ring
Remember to do the 5K challenge today Nov 23

The exercise ring is 30 minutes, but if you are walking the dog & it closes at 27 or 28 minutes into the walk, it's likely that it's counting movements you made earlier in the day as the other 2-3 minutes that are making up the 30 minutes. The activity app on the iPhone shows a breakdown of how many minutes you've exercised. I always see a few random minutes spread through the day, on top of the actual run/ bike ride that I've done.
