I always want to enable this, but I picture my kid or some silly friend of mine screwing with my phone and end up wiping it.
I have it enabled but there's no way I would if kids were using my phone sometimes.
In addition to kids, there is always the chance of theft, robbery or accident, when one may leave a phone behind. How does anyone ever use your phone, unless you hand it to them? Just don't do that. I certainly don't.
I don't really care about app data. I have Messages backing up to iCloud. My biggest concern is Pics and Vids I guess. I have those backing up to OneDrive. I suppose I could enable it.
Have you ever been around children? They pick up things without you noticing sometimes. How does anyone ever use your phone, unless you hand it to them? Just don't do that. I certainly don't.
I have children so this feature is an absolute no no.
Yup, the time that the phone is disabled increases for each wrong attempt after the initial 1 minute disable time.I'm curious....Does it say after five or so bad inputs does it lock the phone for say 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.....then wipe after 10 tries? If that's the case, I'm sure i will have picked up my phone during the disable period.

I haven't gotten to anything over 10 minutes while trying it for myself a while ago, and that was after about 3 failed attempts, so unless you're planning on taking a road trip and leaving your phone behind at a bar you should be good.Oh well perfect....feature on. I was more concerned with friends picking my phone up and trying to get in it while at a bar or something and I step away. I'd certainly be back in contact during the disable period.
