Unlocking it is going to make the resell value raise. It will also open your phone up to more potential buyers. Its really easy to do, I would say you could possibly get $100 more than what you would if it was locked to ATT. It takes 30 seconds if your phone is jailbroken, do it!
Sold my 16gb that had never been in a case since I bought it and the back was covered in scratches/marks along with a broken 8gb that no longer worked.
Was clear with photos about the condition of both phones and said that the 8gb was only good for parts and got £380 for the pair which I was chuffed with.

Paypal has a new policy with eBay where they hold your payment until they confirmed it was received by the buyer. To avoid it you have to meet certain conditions like having a certain feedback rating and detailed seller rating. I got into a huge thing with Paypal a few months back because of this policy and despite having a 100% feedback, somewhere near 60 ratings, and selling devices including Macbooks, Wiis, Xbox, etc they still held my money.
It should show though as received but just not available under your paypal account
