I only got my macbook on wednesday and i have converted two. With several more considering it. I was wondering, how many people have you lot converted to the mac side?

Me personally, about 15 people.

I should apply at an apple store. I'm a born salesmen.

Just did my tenth, but I've been using Macs since I was born. She sort of has a thing for me, so it wasn't too much of a problem. She's intelligent, though, and weighed the benefits of Macs and PCs.

Does this count as three?

When my g/f's PC died eons ago (it feels like that), she started using my G3 iBook. A brief interuption with G4 PowerMac, then back to G3. Issues with G3 (see posts) and now, she's using new MacBook.

I asked did she want a new PC laptop, no. I she Apple reseller shop she interrupted the sales assistant with I quote 'I'm a Mac fiend now'. After using the MB for c5 minutes she said she'd never go back to Windows. I hadn't brung it up.

i didn't mind what computer she used, as long as it worked and she was happy.

So only one person, but converted a few times. My colleagues are a little more reluctant, despite theit virus issues.

I was the one converted. Personally I know no one. All my friends are to in to PC, not to mention since thy game I wouldn't even bother suggesting it.

Of my friends...none. The ones that actually care about computers, are either pretty hardcore gamers and wouldn't touch a mac with a 99 1/2 foot pole, OR already use/have macs.

In my family..none. My dad would want to switch, but there is yet another gaming issue.

I've been a mac user for 2 years now, and my brother has been saying since my first month, that his next computer..will be a mac. He just ordered new computer parts last week...so I guess thats a no go as well.

Total people converted: 0

I like to think I have made a difference in the world. :) :apple:

This whole use of the word "converted" is starting to creep me out a little

I guess what did it for me was the iPod halo effect, and the fact that I was fed up with Vista. iPod turned into iPhone, and that in turn "caused" the buy of a macbook for me, and an iMac to replace my mother's 8 year old PC. So I suppose I "converted" (*shudder*) my mother. xD

Seeing I already spent the money I spent on the computers twice over in software I'll be sticking to Mac in the future too. Well, that and the fact that I love the OS. Can't believe I lingered for so long.

I've converted one person kind of because she already wanted a mac but I just fully convinced her and help her choose which one to get. I'm trying to convert one other except he's difficult since he's a power user and is really stubborn when it comes to needing dedicated graphics plus he likes windows. He'll probably end up getting a PC which is unfortunate, but fine.

Why is gaming an issue these days? Simply Dual boot w/ Bootcamp, problem solved. My uncle plays everything on his 24" iMac in Windows.
No problems.

He plays WoW on the Mac side even.

I've converted 2. I know a bunch of PC users that refuse to even consider a Mac. I know they'll come around... eventually. :)

I converted one before I converted myself.:D Seeing as I can run XP on a mac, and seeing how chuffed he was with his mac, I decided to take the plunge. Despite having XP installed, I've hardly touched it and am well happy with my Macbook.

...but I've been using Macs since I was born...

Must be nice. Here is a picture of my first computer with my grandson.

A long time Windows user, I switched to Mac last November. So far I converted my wife, I got her an iMac for Christmas. One of my friends is about to get a Mac based on my recommendation.
