Are you getting the iPhone 12 pro instead of Pro Max because you don't want to wait 3 more weeks?

Just curious if some people here are eager to get their phones sooner . Maybe that may be a reason why some are choosing the pro?

I was planning on downsizing from the 11PM to 12P prior to the keynote. I've been debating since Tuesday whether or not to stick with my decision to downsize or wait for the 12PM due to the camera upgrades.

Looks like I'll be waiting until November.

I've wondered that, too. If both Pros were available at the same time, I think I would have just easily decided on the Pro Max.

I‘m in the same boat

At present I’ve got the 11 Pro Max and was going to downsize to the 12 Pro, what I will be doing is ordering the 12 Pro and playing with both of them for a week to see if there’s really much difference. If not pack it up and send back to Apple for full refund

I’m all in on the 6.1 Pro. I’m still disgruntled about loosing out on the better camera but the max is just way too bulky and heavy for me. Especially after you add a protective case.

With all of you on this as well. Love my 11 pro max but a smaller size would be good to. Wife has an XR and size is great. Hoping its damn near that size.

Because of the different pre order date, I am keen to see how many people decided that they simply don't want to wait 3 more weeks.

I went by Costco today after work. They had the 11 Pro Max and 11 which closely represent the 2 screen sizes. I’ve had an X for 3 years. It feels small and prior to that I had 3 years of 6/7 Plus phones. The X has a more cramped keyboard which leads to more typing mistakes. I also use my phone for so much email and web, much more than a computer that it is my computer. For those reasons and definitely the better spaced keyboard I am going Pro Max.

The 11 was almost the same size as my X. Negligible difference. The Pro Max felt much better. Yes, unlike my 7 Plus which didn’t have full screen there is going to be more 2 handed and use of reachability and that will be a bit awkward, along with the pocket size, but I have done the larger body before.

When I got home I took my wife’s 8 Plus out of its case and put it in my pocket and felt the weight for a good idea of what the 12 Pro Max will be like.

Are you using a Max now?

Sure am 😊

XS Max before that iPhone X couldn’t wait to get rid of it and return to a bigger screen phone.

Must say though the 6.1l” iPhones are a nice size, maybe next year 🤔😂

I’m just a sucker for more screen real estate.

I like the 6.1, I have tried the larger phones at the store, but I know long term, there will be those awkward cases where I will miss the lighter weight and smaller size. Am glad they reduced bezels further and increased screen size.

Using 11 Pro as of now , last year I was wanted Apple make the regular pro with 6.1" size and this year they make it happen ....

Will be preorder 12 pro tomorrow morning . Cant wait ...

ProMax kind da oversize with me ..

Good news: the 12 Pro has the same 6.1” display as your wife’s XR but it’s much smaller. It’s essentially the same size as the 5.8” 11 Pro (only 0.1mm wider).

I use my device every hour of every day. It's a big part of my daily tech experience. There's no chance I'm going to take a phone I don't really want (12 Pro) instead of the one I absolutely want (12 Pro Max) just because I have to wait a couple more weeks.

Makes no sense to me.

Got my case today. It’s has a much smaller footprint than the xr and 11.

Your complete 180 has been hilarious and satisfying to watch. Guess a few weeks actually isn’t a big deal. Guess Apple’s shareholders will be fine after all. Guess the Galaxy S20 isn’t that great. 😂

Loving my Note 20 Ultra, that's why I really don't care about waiting.

I'm sorry, but unless your current phone is on the fritz (and I mean you are unable to send and receive text messages and phone calls or use any mission critical apps that you need to function) and you've been waiting for this release to upgrade, there is no reason why buying a model that isn't the one you want just to get it sooner is at all sensible. It's especially not sensible considering that this is a whole new body style (something Apple statistically has had reliability issues with on the iPhone) and being a day one adopter just increases the risk of issues with your $1000+ phone.
