I'm curious as to how many of us in here left/stayed/or using both mac and pc.
Based on seeing people in here talking about GPU and other stuff like ventilation/design and etc...
Since I don't see much people talking about actual rumors relating to mac pro 2016, I just want to test the water and see where people are at for the moment.

Edit: ignore the yes and no part and please read the remaining part of the answer.
Just a reminder: "till I die" is extreme loyalty and "no matter the situation" is lesser situation...the ones who have potential to seek pc computers.

I suspect that in this poll there will be more trolling than "real" answers.

Yes and Nope are not valid responses to the question Are you staying with apple or did you leave?
Just humor me. I'm just testing this poll out.

Always been a Mac user and always will be, even after I die. ;)

..."What's Mac Pro?". LOL
When I put "till I die" I meant as in fanboi for life. The one with "no matter the situation" part is referring to loyal to Apple but isn't extreme.

i actually use both there is still some software that will not run on a mac like "creo" or "catia" and for smartphones i also use both.

Even if there more trolling comments.. I'm just testing how far they are sticking with Apple.

Yeah I messed that up. I'm not sure if I can delete that.

That is exact reason why I said that there would be more trolling than anything.

nah i don't think there will be more trolls than people with real answers after all this is an apple forum. so i think we will see more "
Nope, I'm with apple till the day I die" and "
nope, I'm with apple no matter the situation."

i put my money on it.

I left Apple and bought a Graphics Heavy PC workstation for work

BUT I also just picked up a cheap dual CPU 4.1 as it was loaded with RAM (64Gb) had a decent PCIe SSD in it. and I had a spare GTX980 knocking around to give it a graphics boost.

And most importantly it was cheap!

Will I use it for work. Probably not unless the PC goes Titsup, but its there as a backup and I hated seeing the office without a great big Alu Doorstop in the corner.

As a retired mechanical engineer and just an observer hobbyist builder I have great sympathy for those professionals stuck in the Apple ecosystem with few options for an upgrade path.

I have used about every OS under the sun including the Sun Unix workstation and after using OS X over the past three years I can appreciate the reliability and polish of the system but I can not appreciate solder and glue of most of the machines.

I hope Apple takes care of its' professionals but as an independent observer I think Apple bends you over and shoves it right up your ass.

It's disgraceful how the company treats Mac Pro users as of late.

Yes, and a rmbp but I'm considering dumping it for an iPad when it finally kicks the can.

I'm going to stick with the Mac as my interface until I stop using computers altogether. I still use remote servers running linux or some flavor of unix for large compute jobs, but the keyboard and screen will always be on macOS until I give it all up.

PC desktop and Macbook Pro combo works for me. I considered updating to a newer Mac Pro but ended up passing.

I have rMBP and Minis. I had long ago a Mac Pro but find myself going down the path you are realizing presently. I just can't see Apple's "vision" where non iMac computers are concerned. I see for now, a PC in 2016 landing on my home office desk.

I have a Hackintosh for my workstation (work and play) and an Apple laptop for travel. I still prefer Apple's laptops over other offerings, but I cannot have a workstation with limited upgradability.

what's the difference between:

• I'm with Apple until the day I die
• I'm with Apple no matter the situation

?
Day I die =Mac Pro extremist
No matter the situation= loyalist but have potential to switch to Pc.

Basically I'm describing it as level of loyalty to the company.

By the way...I like your new icon. Lol
