So how many managed to order today?
One new customer here did - but order status still "In Progress"
I havn't heard of anybody actually being able to order.
although im not a new customer - but did not do an upgrade (o2 website was annoying about this - i can post screenshots if you really wanna know)

new customer, i managed to pre order the 8gb
woooo hope i get it friday, pretty confident i will. yay
I am a new customer and managed to buy an 8gb iphone on O2's website. However the order is till showing as "In Progress" which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Has anyone else got past the in progress stage?

Didn't manage to upgrade from O2 non-iPhone after 5 hours of trying yesterday morning (and little work done!) so will be getting up early on Friday and giving that a go.
Existing non-iPhone O2 customer here, and was unable to pre-order.
Ahh well, bring on the ferocious struggle to shop door this Friday.
i managed to pre-order a 16gb one, but am unable to check my order status for some reason. however i have a order number so i think i am alright.
It'll be amusing to actually see what the demographic "keen iiPhone buyer" will be - that and O2 wondering what it has in store come Friday...
This wont change until they charge your debit/credit card and actually put it on a delivery lorry and wave goodbye to it.
