Daily, and long enough to drain the battery to 20-30% by bedtime most nights. Today it went on a road trip, and I used it in a tiny burger joint in the middle of freaking nowhere to stream the ballgame through the MLB At Bat app.

My 17" MBP gets ignored, except to use Photoshop, play a couple of Flash-based games, and of course, sync the iPad.

Daily usage: 65% iPad, 30% iPhone, 5% iMac. The percentage of the iMac would be lower if I didn't need it for syncing. And it's brand new! (4th Mac, second iPhone, many iPods, hardly a newbie, but an unapologetic fanyboy. )

I use my iPad daily, most likely when downstairs away from my Mac mini, waiting for friends or family in the car, and more. I still like to sit and browse the web on my Mac mini most of the day. I love my iPad.

Use it every day regularly. It's my diary, my portable email reader. My PDA.

I use it every night in bed to read for an hour or two and have already read around 10 full books on it since it's launch.

I ended up selling my laptop due to the lack of use it received after.

I sometimes run across it at the house and think, oh yeah, I have an ipad. It's too uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time. Not being able to use more than one app at time is really hard to accept on a device this big. I remember DLing Pandora, playing it and then clicked the home button and was like WTF, you've got to be kidding me.

Maybe ios4 will change my mind but by then apple will come out with an ipad that makes mine obsolete.

Pandora is almost useless on the ipad if you can't background it, I agree. That's why I jailbreaked almost immediately and never had this issue ever since.

So easy to jailbreak too.

It's much like the iPhone, the gift that keeps giving..... I've been in a return cycle for a while because of serious screen issues. But, the iPad is so very useful. Netflix, pages, stocks, etc etc etc sorry for keeping it simple. But you will be pleased !

Don't wait or do not think that it wears off. I use mine everyday for everything. I use to be on my MacBook every evening working with our Asian factories, now it is all done on my iPad. I have only used my MacBook about 6 times since I got my iPad on launch day and that is only to do something that the iPad wouldn't do. I was even less excited about the iPhone 4 when it was released. I like the iPhone 4 very much, but the larger screen on the iPad is just so much better. The only thing about the iPad is that it won't fit in my pocket. For emailing and web surfing, the iPad is where it is at. The best thing is that if you find yourself getting board or tired of reading the internet or a book, just go download a new app.

It really depends on the task, but my iPad use has not diminished since I got it.

I do all my e-mail, web browsing, and reading on my iPad. My MBP is used for heavy duty jobs such as papers, photo editing, and iTunes management. Based on those tasks alone, I probably use my iPad 90% of the time and easily 8+ hours a day.

From the day i bought my iPad,i only use my PC for PhotoShop and games. I do the web surfing, checking mails, reading PDF/Books and playing(some great iPad games),watching vids on my iPad.
So its like 60% iPad and 40% PC usage.

Several times a day! And for hours on planes. I know it's a gimmick, but the animated page turning in iBooks (and now Kindle) is just addicting. On my third iPad book already, and it still does not get old. iPhone use, on the other hand, is down a lot!

Yes! For me I use it for about 90% of my computing now, I find it "so handy" and fast, it serves all my email needs, My calendar, general surfing the Web, Twitter, and so good for my music needs and for showing friends any photos that I have taken, I also love iBooks for my bedtime reading. I just use my iMac for any photo editing now, the iPad does all of the rest;)

I use my iPad pretty much every weekday. The main reason is I have a 1 hour or so commute to and from work, mostly on a train. It's not long enough a trip to get serious work done that I'd need a laptop for, but I like reading the digital version of the morning newspaper and/or browsing other news apps like USA Today. Or sometimes I just plug my headphones into my iPad and listen to music on the way home. If new email comes in that I need to read/reply to? I can do that with it too.

I use my iPad 3 to web browse, view photos, listen to podcasts, listen to music via the Pandora app, read books via the Kindle app, and watch videos via the YouTube app.

Every day. It lives on my lap on the sofa in the evening, lets me browse while watching TV, or watch my own TV - whatever I want. iPad Air 2 and couldn't be happier. I hardly ever use my desktop now

ipad2 every working hour of every day. it's my eyes and ears to the world. i communicate more with it than my desktops.

100% of my working day is desktop Window based, with my ipad2 running next to it in conjunction.
