How many rentals have you NOT finished watching?

i'm sticking with netflix for now. i don't always have the time to start and finish a movie in 24 hours (and don't always know ahead of time when i'll be interuppted). i don't want one more thing to keep track of (viewing window)

like some others here, i have quite a hectic schedule
 
What happens if you set your clock back if you get close to the 24 hour period?
Does it connect to the Internet for some server for the time or something?
