I just submitted the repair request for my 2nd pair of iPhone headphones (3rd pair overall including original iPhone) I was just wondering how many other people have had problems with these? I don't wear my headphones outside when I'm walking around just in my house so they don't get much abuse but they seem to be very delicate no always see people wearing them around though am I just unlucky or what lol

I haven't even touched the ones that came with my iPhone 4 yet. But as for the standard Apple headphones (from my iPod), I've gone through SO many. And quick, too. But for some reason I'd rather either use those or some nice $10 JBuds ones off Amazon than anything special.

3G: replaced once under warranty for right earbud not working, and then the new ones stopped working (same problem) a few months after my warranty expired

This time I'm just gonna get them replaced right before my warranty runs out no matter what because I know it will happen again.

I don't even know what the problem is, I'm careful and don't crush/squish/smash/water-damage them . Apparently right earbud not working is a common problem though.

29*50=$1,450 in headphones a year
wow you must be made of money
Doesn't Apple replace their headphones for free if you have your olds ones to trade them? Or did they stop doing that ages ago?

just this year alone I have gone through 4 headphones all because the right side stops working.

Since owning iPods, I've stopped counting how many headphones I've gone through.

Has apple replaced them all for free?

Has apple replaced them all for free?

yeah.

I own many iPods and every year I've upgraded to a new iPhone, so essentially, I always have a device within warranty that I use to swap out the headphones.

the only Apple Headphones that I've paid for are my Apple in-ear headphone ($79).

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A400 Safari/6531.22.7)

I'm still on the first one that came with my 3GS. Haven't taken the one that came with my iPhone 4 out of the box yet.

I never use them; it's a very easy way for potential stick-up thieves to know you have an iPodphone... plus, they're not too great... In fact, they're not great at all

I don't live in the ghetto that must suck having to worry about stuff like that

Wow REALLY, OP?
I don't live in the ghetto either, yet I still don't want everyone and their damn mother know I have an iPod/phone.

Anyone can go to the Apple Store and pick up a pair of headphones; just because you have Apple headphones doesn't mean you're using them with an iDevice.

Thanks a lot jerks

no wonder apple accessories are so freaking expensive

how about learning to take care of your stuff/not being OCD about it

There is no reason you should be destroying a pair of headphones every week

As long as I own my Shures, I never intend to use the included Apple headphones.

I cannot stand them!

I can't believe you guys can get them to stick in your ears!
