No where near the ~600GB that the OP has. That is larger than the external hard drive I'm buying for Time Machine! That's only 65 days short of a year of non stop music. Biggest legal library I've ever seen. That's a whole lot of cash.

most of mine is ripped from my cd collection. I worked at tower records for a time and most of my paycheck went to buying cds. Sometimes all of my collection. i have tons of cd books filled with the stuff. Ripping it was the funnest. Finding track info for stuff that iTunes didnt find. Some of it is from the iTms. But most of it is from actual CDs.
