Tell me this is not getting crazy, everything you look at lately has a subscription .I currently have 7 monthly and it’s going to grow now that Apple is adding arcade and Apple care lol

Whst happen to pay once and you own it .

I can think of 4, 2 of them being only $0.99/month. I've always disliked having to pay monthly for things. I prefer just paying for something upfront. Took me years to come around to getting even a Netflix subscription.

True, I may end up canceling Netflix and iCloud storage ... lucky I get Apple Music free with Verizon

Just Hulu and Amazon Prime although I don't really count Prime all that much as I only have it for the shipping benefits. I used to subscribe to Netflix as well but I canceled that last year as I hardly ever used it anymore. I'm very picky when it comes to subscribing to things; hence the reason I still haven't jumped on the (paid) music streaming bandwagon.

Nobody's forcing you to subscribe to all of them :) .

Agreed , but sooner or later you won’t have much of a choice at the rate things are changing...lol

I think I only have two. Apple Music and iCloud Storage.
I mean, I don't count things like internet service and phone bill, but I guess those are there too.

Anything else I just pay for outright. Like using Final Cut instead of a subscription model like Premiere, og Affinity Photo instead of Photoshop.

Apple Music, Netflix, HBO.
Canceled Prime Video (crappy original content) and will subscribe to Apple TV+.

You always have a choice. Again, nobody's forcing you to subscribe to these things. Life goes on just fine without Hulu/Netflix/Apple Music/Spotify/Prime/etc.

• Spotify Premium family plan ($15 split up)
• Adobe Creative Cloud ($22) ------ This one hurts, I should probably look for some apps to replace it with

Fortunately, we are also able to hare Prime, Netflix, and Hulu within the family.

Current
Prime (I got it for shipping but just started using it for shows and movies)
Office 365 (It would take a long time to pay for all those Office licenses, It is definitely worth it as I use all slots)
Spotify (I have a huge music library. I just love their playlists and pay for the convenience)

Wavering
Netflix (I've burned through most of the stuff which interests me. It's just starting to feel like their content is too heavily geared towards kids and teens. I didn't realize how much better Prime content was)
Tivo (Keep forgetting to cancel. Their cancellation process is a pain in the behind.)

Cancelled:
Quickbooks Online (Moved back to desktop and looking at mobile invoicing options)

Quick subscription tip: Consider turning auto-renew off, for things like Netflix. Instead of paying for Netlix every 30 days on the dot, why not let it lapse and pick the subscription back up the next time you need it? Who knows, maybe a few days or a week will go by without missing Netflix, and you'll save some money.

Especially if you have multiple TV services like Netflix and Hulu, you could pretty easily alternate these services if you mainly watch one show at a time.

iCloud 200GB $4.99 and Adobe Creative Cloud $9.99 monthly.
How'd you get CC so cheap?

I have

iCloud storage, Amazon Prime, Disney + paid for 3 years, Apple Music (free with Verizon), Hulu Live (split with my mom although we are waiting for the address problem because we don’t live together).

I recently canceled Netflix because I got disney plus.

Edit: oops forgot YouTube premium. Because ads.

Monthly subscriptions .... Spotify, Netflix, iCloud, Google Drive

Yearly subscriptions .... Nintendo Switch, Amazon Prime

Free subscriptions ... Xbox Live w/ game pass and Skype. I get these free cause I do a lot of web searching, I changed my default search to Bing, and then let the points add up to redeem. Haven't paid for these two services in years.

Intermittent subscriptions .... Youtube TV (when I'm out of state long enough).

Adobe CC
Setapp
Netflix
Prime
HBO
Criterion Channel
Spotify
Audible
Headspace

That's nine. Soon to include Apple TV, since it's free. And probably Disney, but I'll likely cancel something else when I add it.

Adobe is the only one I dislike, but I need it for work.

wanna watch movies? subscription
wanna watch tv? subscription
wanna listen to the radio? subscription
wanna play video games? subscription
wanna use MS Office? subscription
wanna store documents in the cloud? subscription

And so on and so forth. "But it's only $10/month." Yeah, well, before you know it you have $150-$200 a month in subscriptions and you have 15-20 accounts to maintain and you have 15-20 companies spamming your inbox with junk mail you have to unsubscribe from, and sometimes it takes multiple attemps to unsubscribe before it takes.

I realize you can do a lot of the above without a subscription, but the subscription model has gotten out of hand, but it's because people keep paying for them.

I only have Apple Music.

I have so many address registered with Amazon/Audible that I have not had to pay for prime in over a year. I just sign up for the 30 day trial when I know I'll need several things and cancel the trial before the charge is about to occur.

I use my computer for iPhone/iPad bavkups.so I don't pay for iCloud.

I refuse to pay for anything else other then Apple music.

I win (so far) ;)

Apple iCloud Storage (200GB)
Adobe Lightroom 1TB Photography
Office 365
1Password
CrashPlan
DropBox
MacUpdate
Outdoors GPS
Amazon Prime

Don't regret any of them.

That's the standard price for the two Photography Plans. This is the UK page but the US plans are the same with a $ instead of £.

Why do you have Dropbox and iCloud?

I have just 1password
