Evening guys.

Ordered 42mm SB Aluminium series 2 via Apple online on Monday. Currently still showing 3-5 week delivery time , & as expected 3 days later it's still showing being processed.

Now for the last 4 years I've always ordered my iphones this way , & tbh I have to say I love the anticipation & excitement of knowing I have this to look forward too within the next month or so. Now if my cards landed correctly , & i happened to be in the right place at the right time , I may be able to get one from an Apple Store sooner. The thing is , I've not had one for over 2 years , so another few weeks won't kill me.

But if I'm honest , I have to say I do like the fact that when I press the order status button , log into My Account etc , I'm left wondering whether the status has changed to Preparing for despatch with a certain amount of unknown excitement. I've done this for 4 years & after days/weeks of processing , it's great to see it then change. It's like a little game. I set myself up , only to be let down again for the day. Damn you Apple !

Don't get me started on once it's been despatched & tracking it with UPS.

So as per the thread title , how many times are you checking your order status throughout the day. Once an hour ? Twice an hour ? Just once morning & afternoo. ?

Likewise , is it one of the last things you check at night & first thing in the morning ?

It may sound weird , but I do love this game with Apple !

Cheers

Incidentally , I've prob checked about 7 times today , most recent about 10 minutes ago.

I can get obsessive if I don't put the breaks on it. I've set up my bank account to send an alert whenever an item over $200 is purchased. So, I get notified as soon as Apple charges my cc. Really no need to check Apple's site for a status change.

I checked the UPS site more often that I'll ever admit. :) But then, my watch was one of those that looked like it went from China to Alaska only to end up in Korea the day it was supposed to be delivered.

Anticipation is part of the fun! My watch arrived yesterday evening. So far, I love it. Got caught playing with it during a telepresence call today. A co-worker in IA texted "nice watch." Oops! It was cool replying right from the watch. (This is my first wearable device, so I'm easily impressed. :D)
