hi all,

just want to get an idea, how many times have you had your iphone replaced?

i'm currently on my 3rd unit. first one (new) had a microphone issue, had that replaced, then the 2nd unit had a wireless issue, and replaced. i am on day 2 with my 3rd unit.

it was made on 2009, 24th week. 2nd unit was 2009, 20th week. can't remember the first one.

I've had no issues with the mechanical (for lack of a better word) stuff, but my screen has a gouge in it from God knows what.
I guess I'm lucky that I don't have a need to replace it.

Edit: Oh, and I've also dropped it on cement numerous times. But hey, it still works. :)

I don't have one, but I guess that girl who got hers kicked into the swimming pool will be getting a replacement before long! :D

On my third. The first one GPS didn't function, the second worked fine for 9 months until I couldn't complete calls anymore. I'm on my third and ruminating about whether to get extended Applecare. I suppose I should, since I could go through another 4 or 5 iphones. lol

I have never asked for a replacement--but just to make it work properly. The genius always just pops out a new one however.

i'm just running out of patience with the phone. problems after problems. i just want a proper working iphone (i guess just like everyone else).

if i have to get it replaced again, i think i will end up being nasty, not that there's anything they can do about it ... just want to vent my frustrations.

I'm on my 4th and it is great. I could usually tell something was wrong pretty quickly with my other phones and this one hasn't given me any trouble...knock on wood

I've never had an iPhone replaced. My iPhone 2G that I got on launch never needed to be replaced, same story with my 3G. I guess I'm just lucky? Or just not complaining about 1mm cracks and the like.

Maybe lucky by this forums standard. All of my friends seem to never have trouble with theirs but I'm on my 4th...

iPhone 2G launch day---Never replaced

iPhone 3G Launch day---Never replaced

iPhone 3GS launch day----Never replaced

They've all had small problems, dust under the screen, freezing, loose vibrate/volume buttons, bad battery on the 3GS, I'm just enjoying the damn phone! Some people on here need to just enjoy the thing. Let it have it's problems. But, the main reason none of these phones were replaced were because I want my serial numbers to match the box.

My first 2G iphone was fine for 2 years.
Now i changed it for a 3G iphone , but this one has a defective battery (doesnt charge full, lost calls, sudden shutdowns etc).
Unfortunately, here in Greece, we have only 3 days replacement programm, now its my 10th day, so i have to stay without phone for 3 weeks (for service)!!!
I hope they will fix it .
