On my third. The first one GPS didn't function, the second worked fine for 9 months until I couldn't complete calls anymore. I'm on my third and ruminating about whether to get extended Applecare. I suppose I should, since I could go through another 4 or 5 iphones. lol

I have never asked for a replacement--but just to make it work properly. The genius always just pops out a new one however.

i'm just running out of patience with the phone. problems after problems. i just want a proper working iphone (i guess just like everyone else).

if i have to get it replaced again, i think i will end up being nasty, not that there's anything they can do about it ... just want to vent my frustrations.

I'm on my 4th and it is great. I could usually tell something was wrong pretty quickly with my other phones and this one hasn't given me any trouble...knock on wood

v1 iPhone, 2 replacements (1 NIB for software glitch, and 1 for unresponsive touchscreen)AC

3G iPhone, 1 replacement (1 NIB for uneven glass, dust under screen, dust in crevices)AC

3GS iPhone, 1 replacement (1 NIB replacement for crashing and heat issues)AC

Wow.

1.
it had: uneven glass, bubbles under the glass, home button didn't click down, cracks around dock/earphone jack/silent switch and light leak out the sides.
I only got it replaced because the warranty was about to end.

Once.

I had my white 3G replaced for cracks in the case just before the warranty expired.

One - Phone (with nothing on it, but stock apps) would lock up, turn itself off, and stop working during minimal tasks.

Two - Replacment had about 5 dead pixels at the bottom. I paid 500 for the phone, I wanted it perfect

Three - That replacment had a small crack in the screen, which started to spiderweb. I took this back, and they replaced the screen for free. Calls were constantly dropped and the blutooth/wifi would not work.

Took it back, turns out the guy didn't connect the wires back in the right places, and some of them were fried.

Four - So far so good 🙂

My 2G lasted 1.5 years without a replacement though.

Once, an hour after I bought it because they gave me a broken one to begin with. The spring mechanism in the SIM card slot was broken meaning I couldnt get my SIM card inside.

See my other thread - I'm going to contact O2 about my 3rd phone tomorrow. I wouldn't say I'm worried about rattling silent switches and stuff like that but I would like a phone that works!

dumped in tea and survived!!! and was replaced

My tea tipped over in the car and filled the cup holder. My iPhone was in the adjoining cup holder. I realized it 15min later since I was driving at night. It would keep restarting over and over again. After draining 3 saturated tissues and letting it dry for a day over my floor vent, it amazingly worked other than the camera! Took it to rogers and they replaced it due to a faulty camera. I own a crispy new 3G iPhone, yea!
