Do you use FileVault?

My personal computer is to be moved into my office (a public place) for a short while and so I'm considering using FileVault.

I used it briefly when Panther was first released, but it made my Powerbook too slow. I'm now using a dual 2.5 G5 and was hoping I wouldn't notice it too much.

So, a relatively easy question:

Too many stories of lost data for me to trust it yet. I don't think it's ready for public use. 🙁

I have used it on a few occasions and its been fine, so long as you don't forget your password 😀

For me however I find that it is a bit overkill so I don't use it nowadays

Got to agree with MJ. I use alternatives (password-protected .dmg files) of sensitive stuff. Plus the layers of security on access to my machines.
