Same here, I finally canceled mine after only using the LTE service once or twice the last 2 years. Im upgrading from the LTE series 3 to the GPS series 5.

I just checked my watch usage through ATT and it’s non existent, so I cancelled it.

Don’t have it atm but I looked it up since I’m interested in getting it for the S5. It’s $5 over here, surprisingly cheap.

I did it for a few months with t-mobile and quit it. not worth it except for a few situations

I like the cellular though because $100 you can call 911 in case your phone is stolen, destroyed or whatever. might save your life

Or one of the stories where the person's car went off the road and down the embankment. Phone flew who knows where but they called for help from their watch still on the wrist.

Actually, if the phone is stolen and turned off or the card is removed the watch won’t work.

Incorrect. To verify I just turned off my phone. Called my watch from my work phone and I could take the call. Called my work phone from my watch and it went through. All with my phone powered off.

Yes there are some functions which cease to work with the phone turned off. Cellular calling is not one of them.

Jezzz you Americans are getting ripped off by your “free unregulated market”
Here in europe we still have a healthy competitive environment, so my mobileplan is 16$/month for unlimited talk, unlimited text and 50Gb data (of which 10Gb can be used across europe without additional cost). An additinal 4$ Is the cost of having my AW LTE added to my plan, and another 4$ For an additional SIM for my iPad LTE. So 24$ Total/month for everything.
If I want unlimited data the cost would rise to 45$ Total for everything.

I posted earlier that my Sprint data costs around $14/month with taxes, but they are running a deal right now, where they will give you half off of an Apple Watch, so I pay (roughly) $11/month for 24 months for an Apple Watch 5 (44 mm) and they issue a credit for the other $11. At the end of 24 months, the watch is mine. That works out to about a $265 discount on the watch. Backing out the $11 discount per month, I'm really only paying $3/month for the data plan vs if I were to buy the watch outright.

Oh wow .... I have sprint and now I’m pondering moving on from my series 4 gps to get the 5 with cellular since that’s quite the deal.
