Im trying to decide whether to get a 2015model or a new 2016 non touch bar model.

I know the new screen is supposed to be brighter and have a higher contrast ratio in the 2016 version. Howmuch better is it compared to the 2015 retina MacBook Pro? Is the difference slight or very visible?

I had a 13" 2015 rMBP and the new 13" 2016 model and the new screen is noticeably richer and brighter. Whether or not that matters is up to you but I am definitely enjoying it.
Thanks for the response % wise how much better would you say the new screen is compared to the 2015?

Does the new screen have less glare?

I couldn't really put a percentage on it but it's something I noticed right away. Here is a comparison between the two (old rMBP on left, new on right):

Does the new screen have less glare?

Less glare, yes. Decent difference as well.

Awesome, thank you!

I don't see much of a difference. I'm not a video or photo editor so it wouldn't matter to me. But I am curious why there are two Finder icons in the Dock?

$500 where? The old 13" Pro costs $1300. The $200 difference between the new Pro and old Pro is worth every cent.

The "real" successor to the old rMBP 13" is the new rMBP 13" that costs $1799.

The $1499 rMBP 13" is the successor to the MBA 13".

Re the side-by-side comparison as seen in post 6 above:

Are both displays at 100% brightness?

New MBPro on right is brighter, but...

... if the brightness on the right was adjusted down a little (to where the one of the left is), one might make a better comparison...

1. Brighter
2. Less reflective
3. Wider color gamut
4. More energy efficient

It's better in every respect compared to the old models and really blew me away when I tried it at Best Buy.

Both are at 100% brightness in the picture.
