I can't really find this exact type of laptop on Craigslist in my area... Just wondering how much you think it's worth:

Processor 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM-2x1GB
Hard Drive 500 GB Serial ATA Drive@5400rpm (Upgraded)
    Display 15" Widescreen Display
    OS: Lion
    Condition: Good (light scratches)

Probably $400-450 depending on condition and if you have the box, etc.

    Yep.

It's a five year old laptop. With 2 GB RAM, running Lion will not be fun. Sure, you can bump the RAM to 3 GB, and the 500 GB hard drive is a good addition, but still - it's five years old.

That said, it's still capable of good work - it's fine for what most people do.

what do you mean not the same box???
I think you could get more. Just under 700$ if you put more ram in. Face it though a macbook air is more powerful. It is almost 6 years old though

It only supports up to 3 GB RAM (or 3.3 if you install 4, IIRC).

Maybe $700 CDN, but in the US, he's in the $350-500 range. Sure, he might get lucky and sell it to someone who has no clue, but that's unlikely. Box - means more if he has the restore discs, remote, manuals, and so on.

A late pre-unibody 2008 MBP with the 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo and the 8600M GPU will only go for about $650-$750.
