I'm going to order the new 11" iPad Pro tonight so I'm planning how much I'll be out of pocket for the upgrade. I believe I paid about $1200 with tax for my 10.5" LTE iPad Pro with 512GB. It's always had a Smart Cover and hard back cover so it's in great condition. I'm guessing about $600- $700. for this one.

What prices have you seen or got for them?

How about a 64gb with Smart Keyboard, Pencil, and AppleCare until January 7, 2020? Am I crazy to ask $600 on Swappa?

What's the risk?

Am deciding if I should sell off the iPad Pro 2017 and then top up for the iPad Pro 2018; had I been able to sell it off earlier before this event was announced it may have made things a little easier but then again what's done is done.

The risk is I may be spending money on an upgrade that I do not need/want. I mean, USB C and A12X is worth the jump but at that kind of price increase I dont know until I test in person. I am also expecting to sell at a bigger loss now due to the announcements but with the new prices, maybe it wont be that bad.

Yea I get that. It's a lot of money and definitely comes down to the individual when it comes to value. I have pretty much accepted that I am going to sell and upgrade each year and spend about $300 per year.

Thanks man, actually that's around the amount I forsee myself spending if I were to indeed upgrade this year unless I decide to change storage and cellular configurations. Maybe I pop down to Apple Store soon and see what are my options

I bought a 256 10.5 on Swappa with keyboard and pencil for $570 which I think is fair ...

Honestly, it isn’t fair. Unfortunately, iPads have terrible resale value. If you bought the WiFi only variant and it was out of warranty, a fair price would have been around USD 650-700 for all you bought. Maybe more.

All sellers would like to get more money. Unfortunately, you can only get what the market will bear,

I got a 256GB WiFi + cellular, ASK and pencil for $500 and its still under the factory warranty (no AC+).

The asking prices for iPad pros have increased since the end of August when I got mine though.

I sold mine for 680.00 with a Pencil and 1 year of AC+. It's not as much as I was hoping for, but oh well.. Still not bad for an 18 month old device.

If I could sell my 256GB space gray 10.5 w/ keyboard, pencil, and original box/accessories for $600 I would be very happy.

At least where I live there didn't appear to be much of a market for mine. I was selling a 64gb wifi 10.5. I posted on both craigslist and facebook marketplace. After about a week, I ended up with only one real offer which I took. $450 with an apple pencil. I don't use Swappa because I have issues with Paypal.

A new sale unit/refurb is like USD 500 tops. Add 79 for the pencil. 450 is an insanely good price of out of warranty.

Sold mine for around $800 (700 euro).
Including Apple Pencil, Smart Keyboard, two Smart Covers, a pouch and a few months of AppleCare+ left on it.

Pretty decent deal I think.
