Does anyone know if the physical card itself, if used via tap to pay, gets you 2% cash back. From the wording on Apple's website, it sounds like that's only when you use your phone/watch, etc and the card, no matter how it's used, is always 1%. But figured I'd ask if anyone knows for certain,

I think it's 3% at Apple and "select" retailers with Apple Card+Apple Pay. It's 2% everywhere else with Apple Card+Apple Pay. And 1% if Apple Pay isn't accepted and you just tap to pay.

If you look up Apple Card on Credit Karma it breaks down all the select retailers such as Nike, Exxon-Mobil (for gas), Walgreens, others. I looked at my last month's statement. Apple Store/Apple Pay is all 3%. I bought a skin for an old MBP online using the Apple Card but not via Apple Pay, just as a regular Mastercard, and I got 1%. And I bought some Satechi items using Apple Pay on their website and that got me 2%.

Correct, physical card is missing the tap to pay icon!

I get 2% at my market using Apple Pay.
And I just got 3% at Apple.com buying 2 Macbook Neos using Safari to check out.
