How much data have you used since you have had the iPhone 4

I have had mine since 11:30 am on the 23rd and i have used 350MB I do not see how someone can use less that 200mb in a month!!
 
Now that veetle works with the iphone, I'll be using a lot of data then I normally do.

I hope that includes WiFi usage or I'm I'm up **** creak without a paddle! :eek:

But I feel like I could easily go over 2GB/month. So far 90% of my usage has been over WiFi too. WiFi is basically unlimited usage, right?

I just got back on 3G. I've been using Wifi mostly since I got it. I'm about to turn my wifi back on though. I have the 2GB plan. Typically I go to 1.3GB a month and I ALWAYS had 3G on.

Question: Does sent + received = your monthly usage? Or is it only the received?
 
It must be including more than cellular data - I've been using the iPhone 4 for under 2 days, and it thinks i've sent 220Mb, and received 897Mb! With my 3G, i averaged less than 100mb a month. I have done 2 Facetime calls, I wonder if it confuses that data in with the total?
 
Yes, iphone's data measurement has always included wifi. And it counts facetime wifi as part of the data usage.
 
Further to my last, I've just checked my data usage online with O2 - that has only registered 5Mb used in 2 days, so it looks as if the iPhone 4 is measuring wifi or facetime data too.
 
Guys the network usage is showing just cell phone network usage ... Not wifi ... I've had the phone since we'd and I'm only showing 4mb used. Make sure your wifi us really working.

I don't think it is - the iPhone is reporting different data usage to what my provider is reporting on their billing page - iPhone says about 1Gb total, and provider says 5Mb.

Very strange! I'm putting it down to a bug in the IOS capturing wifi usage by mistake.
 
On the other hand, this thread suggests that old useage data from your previous phone may come across in a backup? possible? maybe? http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11762586&#11762586

This might make sense - when I checked the useage on my 3G last week when O2 released their tariffs, I found figures very close to those I quoted above (200/800), so it seems that useage stats are backed up, and may get restored when you backup your phone - including restoring a new iphone 4!
 
I've only used 5 mbs of cellular data. I'm around wifi 98% of the time. Just so you know I have the cheapest plan. This is my third day and only 5 mb WoW! I'm doing good!
 
the data usage is just 3g/edge data, and not wifi.

on my 3gs i was downloading youtube videos over wifi that were huge to mxtube and they didnt show up on data usage.

and wifi usage is unlimited, to those wondering if they are limited on that.
 
Only used 60mb so far .. getting harder to justify $30 for the unlimitted :)
