How much do you think I could get mine for?

16GB Black, put into full BestSkinsEver screen/back protectors on Day 1 (which was in October) as well as being inside a SwitchEasy Colors case so no scratches at all .. I haven't even seen the real iPhone since Day 1. No bad drops, etc.

trademe.co.nz (local auction site)
Black 16GB - 9mnths old in perfect condition
Sale Price: $USD 570.00

I threw up a craigslist ad 30 min before I was to leave work. 8GB 3g with box an inserts - $200. Within 10 min I had 12 emails. I selected someone at random to call on the way home from work (1 hour drive home) and just so happens the guy was 5 min away from where I was. Met him at a walgreens made a make shift SIM tool, popped the sucker out, $200 dollars, handshake.

Went straight to the AT&T store and slapped the cash on a 3g s preorder. :)

Craigslist
White
16GB
$415

This was a replacement phone from Apple, I only received it on Saturday so it was in perfect condition, and for the first time, I did not receive a refurbished replacement from Apple, it was new, manufactured week 20 2009 (no 5k serial). Solid it within a few hours of listing it.

Apple changed their 5K policy with the 3G, it no longer represents a refurbished iPhone ... It represents all iPhones that are designated as a replacement.

The reason you got one without it is most likely to them purging their inventory.

I put mine on Craigslist... told the buyers that mine was a special 3G than ran on Smurf piss and Unicorn dreams... sold it for $999.

Actually, I just sold my 8gb 3g unlocked for 400 in Raleigh Craigslist

As an update to my earlier post, mine (black 16GB) sold for $425 to a buyer in New Zealand last night.
I'm just waiting for him to pay me now, and then I'll probably upgrade and unlock on 3.0 for him Friday morning and ship it out.

Well it looks like you could get at least $400 judging from what people are posting here, esp since its in good condition.
That way you can pretty much upgrade for free :)

Seems like everyone is doing pretty well on the resale market.

My suggestion :
If you want low risk and CASH then sell locally on craigslist or something.
If you are ebay savvy, and know how to avoid the risks of getting ripped off (ship to confirmed addresses, check the buyers feedback, no nigerian scam etc) then you will probably get a bit more on ebay.

Also try and sell BEFORE tomorrow (yes you will be without your iphone for a day or so, but my guess is after tomorrow there will be a flood of 3Gs for sale so you might not get as much money.)

3G 16GB Black just sold in ebay auction for $355 to a guy here in the States (worth quite a few bucks not to have to deal with international shipping/payors). Not as high as I expected, but it more than covered the cost of my new 32GB.

Well there are currently 5,000 iphone 3Gs up on ebay for sale and I can imagine this number is only going to increase throughout the day.
