The LCD in my late 2013 MacBook Pro is damaged and needs replaced. As the machine is still useable plugged into an external monitor, I'm keen not to lose it for a week by sending it away for repair and I'd rather just put it into my local Apple store. However, Apple can't tell me how much it will cost and I can't get an appointment at my local store until Sunday. Does anyone know what the cost of a screen replacement is? I'm well outside of the warranty window obviously.

I just had my late 2013 screen replaced by Apple. They did it for free but in the invoice they indicated the cost was $625.00 CDN.

Thanks. I wonder if the price is equivalent here?

I'm not sure where you are but I'd think Apple would keep it fairly consistent. So converting my price to your local currency should be a good ball park.

I’m going to hold out for my Apple Store appointment on Sunday and see what they quote me, hoping for the £200 mark. £400-500 is too much for such an old machine.

Annoyingly, they won’t give me a quote over the phone so I have to wait until I can travel to the store.
