Cable, satellite, broadband, dialup, whatever.

My Time Warner cable TV/broadband internet combo is over $100 a month!

I think I'm getting ripped off. But the only TV package below "Standard" is the one that has maybe 20 channels tops....

Almost $120 a month for Charter digital cable and cable internet connection.

Absolutely ridiculous considering how little there is on TV and how often the internet connection drops.

i spend about $120/month with Charter also.

This covers my DVR, all basic channels, pretty much every premium channel and my DSL. We've had really good service from them...but i have to renegotiate my package price every year. I just threaten to leave Charter and they drop the price about $20/month.

about $53 for directv. just about every channel. and $15 for internet.......56k....but really 26.4.....still waiting for this ISP to get wi-fi out here, going on 4 months of the "it will be ready in 4-8 weeks"

charter

i pay about 75 for tv/cable internet.

69 plus tax/fees

it was going up to around 100 but i lost my job and called them and they gave me a deal that last until this summer

$0 for tv, dont have cable
DSL = $35... sometimes the network goes down

need to upgrade both packages, to some better ones.

In australia I pay $69 a month for a lousy half a 512K connection because Telstra lied to me. I had a 6th month dialog with the telecommunications watchdog but it came to nothing in the end.

I had recently arrived back from the UK and there they refer to 'downloading' as when you download stuff to your desktop or whatever. Whereas in Australia when they say 'downloading' they mean *any* data transfer. ie viewing a webpage is 'downloading' even someone doing a portscan of your computer is termed 'downloading'.

So I bought a fixed mb package but then had to upgrade to unlimited when I found out. With TPG who I will change to when my contract is out, I can get a 1.5mbit connection for the same price.

It's $55/month for basic cable and a cable modem for the internet through Comcast. They have some deal where you get $15/month off your internet bill if you get cable with it (and our cable is $10/month, so you do the math). I could definitely live without the TV, but I will not go without highspeed internet ever again!

$100 CAD per month for:

- land line
- unlimited long distance across Canada
- 3 Mbps DSL access
- 80 digital TV channels, VOD and 100+ digital audio channels
- home security system

and this summer we'll be getting upgraded to 20 Mbps and HD content over DSL...

TV: 40 bucks
Internet: Free. My job is paying for my 10MB wireless service. I have an antenna the size of a trash can lid on my roof... only it's a rectangle. Nyuk! Download is seldom slower than 3000kbps.

/drool

I am j-e-a-l-o-u-s!

$0

I put an element 45 antenna in my attic and it allows us to get all the HD channels free over the air. No cable bill. Totally legal.

We have about 3 wireless networks I can hop on at anytime from the neighbors. I just asked a few months back, and they said sure. It just cost me a case of beer.

Saves me about 120/month.

Nope, not at all - just saying that thanks to what I do, I'll be enjoying some fast Internet speeds myself in the neat future, and he won't be the only one... ;) :D

Damn you're in on it too!? Now I must know...
