hi,
i'm not from the US but i'm curious about the prices.
i know the phone costs 200$ for the 16gb and you commit for 24 month of 70$ payment.

right?
what do you get for this 70$ every month ?

thanks!

$94.27 including tax gets me 450 minutes, 1500 text messages (here we pay for incoming as well as outgoing), and unlimited data. Of that, I use about 250 minutes, 500 texts, and about 500 MB of data.

$70 = 40 (450 minutes) + 30 (data)

$150 gets us:

1 iPhone 3GS line with 200 texts and data.

1 regular phone line with data and 200 texts

2 regular lines with no data/text- $10 each.

700 shared minutes.

That's all I got right now.

$30 Data Plan
$40 Voice Plan (450 min)
No Text Msg Plan
------------------------
Total $70 + tax

This is the bare minimum iPhone plan you can have with AT&T

550 minutes $50.00 (1st line on family plan)
2nd line $10 (mom hardly ever uses her phone and has no addons)
200 texts $5.00 (and text free app for unlimited texts! muhahaha)
unlimited data $30.00

= $95 + a few dollars of crap fees (tax)

550 minutes is all I ever need, between unlimited night and weekends, unlimited mobile to mobile, rollovers, and my business land line and my home land line, I use about 4000 minutes total each month.

Thank goodness most everyone with a phone in my area is AT&T

Last month I switched to the $69.99 family talk and my bill came to $185. WAY TO MUCH

So, yesterday I wanted to go with something cheaper by canceling one line and downgrading back to the $59.99 plan. Well, AT&T did not want me to cancel my 4th line and they transfered me to their "retention" department. The "retention rep" offered me a plan I've never heard of.

$40.00 Family Talk (iPhone, main Line + $10 unlimited data)
$10.00 2nd line (mom) iPhone/no data
$10.00 3rd line (friend) iPhone/no data
$10.00 4th line (work) only needed the area code to foward office calls back to main line.
$30.00 unlimited text for everyone. Yes MMS works on all our iPhones 3g :)

The rep also took the pro-rated charges away and back track the bill. So now my balance per month is $113.57 after tax & some odd discount i've been getting for a while.

However, the new plan only comes with 450mins per month. So the rep added 1,000 rollover and 100 per line on top of 700mins I already had from months ago.

Please note that AT&T does not know I have an iPhone, that is why the unlim. data is only $10. Also, only the main line is under contract.

Approx bill of $185 gets me:

5 Phone lines
1,100 minutes per month
Unlimited nights & weekends
Unlimited mobile to mobile
Rollover minutes
Unlimited texting for all lines
iPhone data for my line
Taxes

~110

1 iPhone 3GS w/ Data and 200 texts
1 regular line w/ 200 texts
700 shared minutes

I am a premier member through work so add ~20% to that for non-premier pricing.

$157.00

700 Anytime Minutes (+ free nights/weekends, mobile to mobile)
2 iPhone data plans
2 iPhone 200 SMS msg plans

I really wish they would offer some sort of family data plan for multiple iPhones.. If we used SMS enough, I'd consider getting us on the unlimited family sms plan.

third line- 10

$95.44:

450 Minutes w/Rollover ($40)
Unlimited Text ($20)
Unlimited Internet ($30)

$70 = 40 (450 minutes) + 30 (data)

I pay 1 dollar more and get unlimited text. Something's wrong here :p. California's sale tax really high or something?

33.99 for 450 mins (FAN discount)
30 for data
20 for unlimited texting

83.99 before taxes.

Is it just me or do MI taxes seem worse then elsewhere? Other people want to compare?

That's a really great deal.

I guess non-iPhone customers are still so valuable to AT&T because they can really switch, whereas, iPhone customers won't go anywhere.

So, you have 3 unlocked iPhones and AT&T doesn't know at all?

$215 ish. includes taxes and all the other BS. Much cheaper than Verizon.

2 iPhones
2 voice only phones

1400 Family minutes
Rollover minutes
Unlimited nights and weekends
Unlimited txt
Unlimited data (iPhones)

In the U.S. we pay for both incoming and outgoing calls and texting. Unused phone minutes roll over to the next month.

450 min: $40
Unlimited Data: $30
Texts: $5 (200 texts monthly)

Subtotal $75 + ~ $10 for taxes & fees (Texas) = ~$85 monthly for one iphone

$60 a month

1000 anytime minutes
rollover
unlimited nights and weekends
unlimited mobile to mobile
unlimited data
200 text messages
