I never wear my Citizen ecodrive anymore because it just feels too clunky so I wanted to compare it to the weight of the apple watch. I couldn't find it on their website or anywhere else.

Anyone have any idea on this? I know there is A LOT.Of variability here, just curious what a typical non lightweight watch could typically weigh

Not sure what a "typical decent watch" is but my Garmin 620 weighs 44g. A Garmin 920XT is 61g and a Garmin Fenix 3 with sapphire crystal with Metal Band is 85g.

Haha! Those definitely don't qualify. Nice stainless steel watches with link bands are in the 100g to 150g range, right where the Apple Watch is.

Thanks for the input, still torn between the SS and Aluminum so I just wanted to make sure the SS wasn't as heavy as my Ecodrive.

Even the :apple:Watch weights are all over the map. For instance the SS can weigh from 56g (38mm/Classic) to 125g (42mm/Link). The Sport cases (sans bands) weigh only 25g (38mm) and 30g (42mm).

True. I have mine narrowed down to 42mm with sport band either way. Just haven't decided between SS and Aluminum

My Seiko Flight Chronograph is 114g. Stainless case and band with gold plate trim (bezel, pushers and crowns, center band links). I like some heft in a watch, personally.

My Omega planet ocean chronograph is one heavy SOB. and thats the way i like my watches.
I wish Apple would make the apple watch as heavy duty.
