I bought my iPhone 5 16gb on eBay back in May and it came with the lightning cable, power adapter, earpods, Mophie Juice Pack Helium and a Zagg screen protector already installed but it didn't come with the iPhone box for $540. I just now found out that there's Apple Care until May 2014 and I might sell it with all of those accessories so how much do you think I could get for it? Also the phone is in perfect condition, no scratches.

Answering your original....

question, seems to me you have the normal Apple warranty. Extended Apple (or Apple + for phones) adds up to 3 years of warranty, but have an extra cost.

Regarding the price to sell, that depends in a series of factors: Cosmetic or functional uses, type of usage, accesories and so on. Also, as other poster had said, locked or unlocked status. If unlocked, assuming no cosmetic or functional issues, seems to me a good price for the iPhone and all the accesories can be $450-500. And yes, before the iPhone 5S shows up....

Apple Care for iPhone only adds 1 additional year of warranty - for a total of 2 years from purchase date.

For computers, both desktops and laptops, Applecare lasts for two years after the expiry of the original one year standard warranty - thus, three years in all.

For iPods, iPhones, and iPads, Applecare offers an additional year of care after the expiry of the original, initial one year warranty, in other words, Applecare gives you a total of two years cover in all.

Hope this is of some help.

I always just sell my laptops/desktop macs after 1-2 years so I never buy apple care. If you leave programs/music/movies on your system then people usually pay more than if you have applecare.

If your going to keep the system for a while and don't upgrade often and want the extra protection then Apple care works. In my experience they have always fixed my issue even after the date my applecare expired. If they didn't I would just come back or go to another store and they fixed it. Just be nice to the guy.

Apple care doesn't cover broken screens or water damage which is what I would be worried about. I just buy a good case and call it a day.
