Hi guys,

Just wondered how much free space everyone has on their iPhone and thought it would be nice to compare.

I previously had a 16GB iPhone 4 and constantly ran out of space, even with no music on the phone. :( Now I've bought a 32GB iPhone 5S and am finding myself using up the storage space faster than I thought.

Currently I have 8GB of free space:

(5GB photos, 8.41GB of apps, 613MB of audio, 630MB of 'Documents & Other', and 3.97GB of 'Other')

So how much free space do you have and how have you used your space? :D

3.5GB free on a 32GB phone. 8GB of audio (have whole library compressed to 128 kbps for convenience) and 12GB of apps make up the majority of what's on there.

20.5 GB free on my 32GB iPhone. Currently, roughly I have 3.2 Gb music, about 760mb photos, 1.3gb video, 1.5 gb apps1.3gb other, 860mb documents and data and 910kb iBooks.

Capacity shows 27.53 gb but during update to iOS 7.0.4 it was showing as 29.81 gb :s should it not have been the full 32 before the OS went back on?

9 of 13gb available. 1gb music and 3gb and some change of photos, apps, docs etc.
I stream all of older music on match and dump photos on my Mac at 2-3gb. 16gb space gray.

535MB out of 27.9GB (32GB iPhone 5)

It's sad, I need to get 64GB for the next gen

16GB device is plenty

Why do you need 5Gb of photos on your phone OP? Surely using Dropbox or similar would be better.

I have a 32GB 5S. I plan to put 1000-2000 songs (all my songs are 320kbps) on here. My last phone after 2 years had about 2000 photos (so planning for that too - especially with the iPhone's burst mode collection). I also have like 6-10 very large apps.

Got my phone a few weeks ago, currently do not have music on it, and only have less than 100 pictures. I've downloaded 8 games with more than 700MB in size. I have 16GB used, with 11GB available. That should be just about perfect when I have 1000+ pictures and 1000+ songs. If it becomes too much in 1.5-2 years I will decrease my large game collection by 2-3 apps, to ensure I have enough storage.

PS I do not use dropbox, never seen a use for it (unless you want to save the $100 to have more storage??? Idk, idc to use it just for that)

Also 16GB suits you fine for a normal user, but I am in college and take lots of pictures, and also would like to have high quality music on my phone. If I didn't also play games, 16GB might be enough to have to get by, but I don't like limiting myself

Hope this helps

So does anyone actually pay for additional icloud storage? That feels more secure than sky drive Dropbox etc or is that daft?

If you're going to pay for cloud storage at least pay for one which is multi platform.

16GB 4S

8.75GB - Music, 9.2MB - Photos, 780.5MB Apps, 54.7MB Documents & Data, 1.21 Other which leaves me with 2.60GB free.

Most of my music is in AIFF 1536kbps and I have a picture hoarding problem.

Because vBulletin wouldn't let me upload two photos at once from my iPhone.

I used to have just a little more than 1 Gb free on my 16 Gb iPhone 5.
After a restore as new executed to try to solve a battery drain problem, I now have 9 Gb of free space.
