Hi guys,

Just wondered how much free space everyone has on their iPhone and thought it would be nice to compare.

I previously had a 16GB iPhone 4 and constantly ran out of space, even with no music on the phone. :( Now I've bought a 32GB iPhone 5S and am finding myself using up the storage space faster than I thought.

Currently I have 8GB of free space:

(5GB photos, 8.41GB of apps, 613MB of audio, 630MB of 'Documents & Other', and 3.97GB of 'Other')

So how much free space do you have and how have you used your space? :D

A Measly 2 GB out of 16GB. Over 8GB of that goes to apps. Most I never use like Pages and Keynote.

I deleted the Apple apps that I don't think I'll use. I only keep Pages and iPhoto on my phone. They're automatically on the cloud so you can download them for free in the future should you have need for them. iMovie takes up over half a gig.

iPhone OS space?

So how much space does the OS take up? It seems like each iteration of the OS is bigger, thus I get the most GB phone I can in order to accommodate the OS plus whatever I want to put on it.

Reduce capacity of phone by 14% to get the usable space is a good rule of thumb.

I have 43.3 GB on my 64 GB phone, though it's still early days. Eventually I will end up with about 5-10 free.

My 4S was 64GB and at one point I had about 58 *MEGS* free...
Cleaned it out and got it down to 19GB free... :D

My 5S is also 64GB and I have 46GB free but that's b/c I haven't had time to fill it up w/ crap yet. Nor did I transfer my old Cam. Rolls to it yet... I'll be down to a gig free in no time, I suspect.

Why don't people use cloud services instead of filling there phones up with songs and photos they barely even listen too.

There is hardly ever a 3G signal where I live and I couldn't download anything with 2G.

0 bytes on my 13.3GB 4S.

I had space earlier, but it vanished without me doing much of anything, as it always does.
