I just got a macbook today with a 80gb hard drive. I only have 34gb left on the hard drive and have not install anything. Are there like videos or something that comes with the mac?

Oh boy, spoken from a non-Mac user.

The reason for all the space used up is due to the iLife suite installed. Garageband takes up quite a few gigs due to all the loops installed. Also all the languages and printer drivers are taking up space as well. Leopard only requires 6+GB and 9GB if you install the developer tools.

The best thing to do is pop in your install disc and erase and do a clean install. At the install screen you have the option to uncheck all the useless languages and printer drivers and you can select which part of the iLife suite you would like to keep such as iPhoto.
After this you should gain quite a bit of your hard drive back.
