It's time to finally retire the last of the self-upgradeable MBPs. I was quite pleased at myself after I upgraded the memory/disk myself and everything worked :) Curious what might be a good price to list it for?

Mid 2012/15.4"(1440 x 900)/16GB/1TB SSD/Quad-Core Intel Core i7

Works great, always in clamshell mode connected to external monitor.

Thanks.

I saw a Retina 2013 15" last week on eBay auction selling for 250€ (16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD).
As the 13" 2012 models (Air and Pro) go for 150€-180€, listing a non-Retina 15" at 250€ is worth a try (1 TB SSD) but I wouldn't expect more than 200€ (if even that).
Given that the 2012 models run Monterey perfectly with OC and still get a lot done, I was really surprised by the small revenue. I therefore keep my 2012 MBA.
Maybe prices differ from Germany - just my two cents.
M1 and M2 simply killed the Intel second-hand Mac market.

I'm not yet ready to retire my late 2013 15" MBP. It's the best computer I've ever owned, and it's chilling out running my pihole in the corner now. If I were to list it for sale I'd ask for $300 (16Gb/1Tb/2.6QC). @arw is right the M-series destroyed the resale value of Intel Macs.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll see if my folks want a 2nd laptop :)
