256mb ram
CD-ROM (no burner)
30gb hdd

The computer is in good condition. No scratches, no problems. However I have heard the hard drive making some strange noises from time to time.

If the hard drive is ok, I'd say around $300-325ish based on current eBay & Craiglist prices for that iBook with processor, memory, hard drive...

Yeah, you're right, if the hard drive is making noises that is a problem. Is the hard drive in the front of the machine kind of under the track pad? That seems to be where the sounds are coming from.
Can I look up the serial # and find out if applecare was bought for it?

Sorry I asked in the wrong section. I am looking to BUY this machine and I wanted some ideas on how much to offer. I've never heard of a "feeler" thread, I'll do that next time.

I think he meant $300. Oh, and you should skip the iBook and buy my Mac Pro! : )
