If I were to buy an iPhone today, a 32GB is £629. Is that discounted at all from it's original release?

Will the new iPhone likely be a similar price? If so, I guess it's worth waiting for the new one rather than buying now?

They won't be discounted officially, I wouldn't buy sim-free anywhere else. Contract prices do lower but that's not what you're looking for. Just wait for the next release.

That's what I thought. I don't remember the prices of Apple products every really reducing.

Although it does beg the question, who would pay such a premium for a phone that's about to be superceded?

And I guess when they bring out the iPhone 6 at circa £629, the 5s will still be on sale but at a much reduced price.

Because some people want the phone now or don't care that the new one comes out.
