How much is your monthly cell bill?

Hi everyone,

I've just purchased my first iPhone - a lightly used 3G. Love it.

I'm looking at data plans in Canada. For $52 plus tax, Telus is offering me:

- 250 anytime minutes
- unlimited calling/text to any 5 numbers nationally
- free weekends/evenings after 5pm
- 500mb data
- voicemail
- call display
- 30 texts per month

I'm wondering a) if this sounds reasonable, and b) how much other iPhone users are paying for their plans.
 
$75/month (tax included)

How did you do that?? Mine will be:
450 mins ($40)
2GB data ($25)
1500 texts($15)

For a total of $80 before taxes :eek:!!
Yours would be $85, maybe like $100 with taxes/crap fees...

ends up being around 65 a month, I get a union discount with att and vz
 
One million dollars. A week.


Actually, it's around $180 for 2 iPhones and one regular phone.

I work for my university, and they have a discount plan here with AT&T. AT&T also has a tech center here, so it's they scratch our back, and us theirs.

Talk to your employer to see if you guys have some sort of deal with AT&T.

1 iPhone and 1 dumbphone with no data plan
Shared TXT Messaging @ $30
%25 percent fan discount

Interestingly enough by downgrading my plan 1 tier and adding the fan discount, I am paying about the same amount as when I was on Verizon but now have 3 smartphone data plans.
 
I pay $65 with employer discount, I never use more then 450 a minute, and most my friends now have AT&T so why pay more for mins I am probably not going to use.

All I will ever need, especially with rollover.

I think the OP was specifically asking about prices in Canada. I get the feeling that some of these responses are ignoring this fact.
 
Almost all the iPhone plans in Canada are about the same, especially when you compare Telus to Rogers or Bell. Just choose the network that is best for your location. If I were you I'd choose Telus or Bell, because their new, shared network appears to be faster and more stable than Rogers. Personally, I'm with Rogers and I get good coverage in my area, and also use no cell data, so I don't mind their slower network.

My plan is $40 before taxes.

Here's the break down...

ROGERS Student Plan (Not on website, have to ask for it in the store)
200 daytime min
Unlimited talk from 5pm
Unlimited text

ROGERS Value Pack

I have no data, and no intention of getting it. I have wifi at home, at school, at work, and at the hundreds of Starbucks scattered around Vancouver :p

Im thinking of adding another line of nothing but voice for someone, can anyone give me an idea of how much more it might be? I know its at least $9.99 but after taxes would be be an additional $13-20 a month for a single line?

Got a permanent monthly discount on my bill as long as I'm with Rogers due to some **** ups on their end.

The actual plan cost I should be paying is 60$/month for voice/data and perks. Caller ID + Name Display is an additional 8$/month. So roughly 68$/month normally. Loving Rogers for being so generous with the discounts haha.

Funny story. When I was pre-ordering my iPhone 4 and "signing up" for my new 2-year contract, I told them to clone my exact plan. Well a few weeks later I get a text from ATT saying I had gone over $50 in texting overage charges. Bastards didn't copy over my unlimited texting plan. I shoved it up their arse and got the fee waived. :rolleyes:
