I can’t belive how rich Apple made the telco carriers. Before the iPhone we were paying 5 time less per month.
 
As of today:
Provider: Aldi Talk (Germany)
Cost: 8€ (4 weeks)
Included: talk and text flat, free EU roaming, 4.0GB LTE
 
I have 4 phones on T-Mobile. 14PM, 13 Mini, s22 and s23. The Samsungs and 13 Mini were free with a new line so they don’t have financing. My 14PM was fully financed and I pay $45.84 per month for the device. I have an Ultra watch line, the low data one for $5 a month because I basically never use my watch in cellular mode because I always have my phone. I have carrier insurance on my 14PM just so I can upgrade early, and I have carrier insurance on my daughter’s s23 because she’s 10 and I can’t not have insurance on a child’s phone lol. My bill for unlimited talk/text/data for all of us is $197 which comes out to just under $50 per line which I think is relatively fair.

I do have the 20% account level insider discount, which is what made me switch from T-Mobile to att. With att I was paying about $250 for unlimited everything on a 12PM, 2nd gen SE, and samsung a13.

For all the users with unlimited data, do you really need that much? I’m with BT in the UK where I pay £15/month for unlimited calls and texts and get 50GB data which is doubled to 100GB cos I use their broadband service. I barely use 5GB a month because there’s Wi-Fi at home and at work.

I need the hotspot data, and the unlimited data. It don’t hurt to have it when you need it. I’m always either using my phone or iPads. On a heavy month, I could use close to 100gb.

For two years mine was: £99 a month from Barclays Partner Finance from Apple, 0%.
Then from my carrier, O2-UK, £16 a month for 100GB data, unlimited calls and texts on a Sim only contract giving me much better room to walk away and negotiate a better deal each 18 months or so.
So around £114 a month for two years, $143 USD on a rough conversion.
After that, the last 2-3 years before it's unsupported will be £16 a month around $20.
 
I'm still with Tesco Mobile. They had a price increase recently so I'm now paying £6.36 per month for the following:

- 6GB of Data
- 5000 Minutes
- 5000 Texts

I have it capped so that I can't go over a set limit but I use it for personal use and for work and I haven't once gone over this.

I prefer to stay on cell data at work rather than being on Wi-Fi. Gives me some separation. And I often streaming podcasts, radio, or tv to listen to when I need to block out inconsistent office noise. We also use Pandora for kid friendly streaming radio when we are driving.

Hubby travels to different sites for work and loves being able to stream podcasts or radio in the work vehicles.

It is not uncommon for the adults to use 150+ GB a month each although the kids are usually under 20 GB each. With Verizon’s new plan roll out I don’t think you can even get a limited data plan unless you go prepaid or have a grandfathered plan.

same thing I work for a Four Seasons and they monitor their traffic so better to be off their grid.

That's a good deal!
EE for me are the best network in London. Rarely been to a place where I don't get signal..
 
I think I pay $50 a month for Verizon's unlimited prepaid plan. I've tried some of low-cost MVNO's out there (Mint, Visible, Straight Talk, etc.) and just had nothing but problems. Smooth sailing since I went with one of main big guys, though I still refuse to have a contract plan.
