Since I just got mine yesterday my first bill will be around 180, but I would normally pay around 120.

$120 a month is insane! That's 3 times mine. Unlimited talk/text and unlimited data is nice, but that price just isn't worth it in my opinion. I guess it's different if you're using it heavy for work.

300 minutes (mobile and landline) - remember in the uk receiving does not take minutes from your allowance

3000 texts

Genuinely unlimited data

All for £ 15 on Three UK pay as you go. Contrary to a lot of reports, I'm finding their network to be excellent.

I'm on SoftBank (Japan) with an iPhone 4.

My plan includes:

Unlimited on network outgoing calls except between 9:00 pm and 1:00 am. Off network and off hour calls cost 21 yen (about $0.25 USD) per minute.
Unlimited incoming calls from any number.
Unlimited 3G data.
Unlimited Wi-Fi.
Unlimited SMS/MMS.
Visual Voicemail.
3-way calling.
Call waiting.
Call forwarding.

Total: 7190 yen (plus non-free calling charges)
or about $87.70 USD

Keep in mind that included 'minutes' in the UK and US are very different.

In the US, both calling and receiving counts and minutes are deducted for both. Also, calls to mobile phones and landlines are never differentiated -- calls to mobiles and landlines are always the same cost.

In the UK, only outgoing calls count and incoming is paid for by the person calling you. Calling mobiles in the UK is always more expensive than calling landlines , so some plans have different quotas for landline calls and mobile calls. Generally, however, minutes in the UK are for both mobile and landline calls.

Just thought I'd clarify for those not familiar -- it makes a difference when comparing costs.

It's actually the only option I have. AT&T doesn't work well where live and I want unlimited Internet plus if you really think about it I would be paying about the same with AT&T for less data and no service in my area lol.

My wife's current plan with Rogers in Canada is $39.93+tax.

400 daytime minutes
UL weekends and evenings at 6pm
UL incoming, UL network calling
2500 SMS, CID, VM
500MB data

Took a bit of work to get a plan like this. Its incredible whats possible though when you have time & patience to negotiate.

AT&T:

LQ Quantum - 200 meg data
iPhone - 2 gigs data

Family plan with lowest minutes, unlimited texting. Just added the quantum so the bill will probably be about 120-130.

Verizon:
4 phones, all dumb phones. Two of the lines were originially smart phones but we knocked them down to leave for at&t. Still paying for them though because the ETF sucks. That bills about 100.

Not to start an AT&T vs Verizon war, but that's exactly why I switched from Verizon in the first place.

Even with my FAN discount, I was paying about $10/mo less to have your basic Flip Phone (send a text message on that phone? BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!) with 900 minutes (more than I ever used, but their 400 minute plan wasn't enough, and they had NO in between) than I'm paying now to have my iPhone 4 with unlimited texts & unlimited data. Even with the ETF, I still managed to come out ahead within a few months of leaving. Verizon was great, if you have a family plan, but it's just me, and virtually everyone I called was on AT&T.

When I originally switched, I'd bought a refurbished iPhone 3G, and simply had the unlimited data & 200 text messages, and ended up paying less. It was about a year before I added the unlimited texts, since I had a manager who did virtually everything by text message ;)

I pay about $220 a month. I have two iPhone 4s with unlimited data, and a 3GS on the 250 MB plan. Also have a dumb phone with no data. Unlimited texting on all. Just dropped to 700 minutes from 1400 because of the unlimited mobile to mobile. Also have two lines with roadside assistance, and family map.

I got a pretty amazing deal from telus when they were doing a contract buyout.

2 lines- one iPhone and one blackberry

iPhone has:
500minutes anytime
Unlim. Nights and weekends at 6
Visual voicemail
Caller Id
Unlimited telus-telus calling
500 long distance minutes
6GB data
Unlimited texts
Tethering

Blackberry has the same things except only 500mb data

Total cost is $135 taxes included

Also only paid $99 for the iPhone 4. The store paid the other $50 just to make me switch from bell. Good riddance haha
