Holy crap...how are your bills so cheap?

I pay $90 for:

2 GB data
1000 messages send+recieve
450 anytime
5000 night/weekend
unlimited mobile-to-mobile

and I don't even use 100 minutes a month but I can't lower it anymore.

I'm jealous as hell...

I pay $98 for:

AT&T
Unlimited data
Unlimited Text messages send+recieve
450 anytime
5000 night/weekend
unlimited mobile-to-mobile

Why??

Why do you get unlimited data for $8 more then me :(

I never changed my plan from when I bought my iPhone 3GS in Oct. 2009. When I bought my iPhone 4S at launch lat October I was grandfathered.

Our bill is $245 through Verizon for three smartphones, two basic phones and a USB mobile broadband stick.

Plan details
1400 min
Unlimited text
10 friends and family numbers
Unlimited data on two phones, 2GB on the other (no difference in price)

VZ share everything plan.

IP4s x 2
Unlimited talk/text
6Gb data

$140 with discount before tax so ~$160 with tax & fees.

Some of these bills are insane! In the USA, an iPhone really is an item of luxury and a sign of being well of.

Verizon iPhone 4s $62- 65 per month, 450 min, 250 tm, unlimited data with corporate discount.:apple:

I bought my iPhone 4S 32GB without contract for €739. My mobile plan is a rather weird construct, but probably as cheap as it can get in Germany. I pay €2.99 per month for a premium account with my e-mail provider and get a postpaid mobile plan with that for free, including:

- 100 MB data at 3G speed, unlimited data at 64 kbit/s
- SMS for 9.9ct
- phone calls 9.9ct per minute
- 50 free worldwide SMS (using a separate App) ... enough for the very few people without WhatsApp

Since I use WhatsApp for 90% of my mobile communication, I barely pay more than €5 a month. Even if you distribute and add the price of the iPhone over two years, this is under €36 a month and therefore significantly cheaper for me than a contract (where you still have to pay around €299-€399 for the iPhone itself). Of course this mobile plan doesn't allow me to use video or music streaming over 3G and can get pretty expensive if you make a lot of phone calls (I don't), but besides that I can use all the iPhone's features for a fraction of the costs other people have - without being tied to a contract for two years.

I don't think I would have ever gotten an iPhone if they wouldn't sell it contract-free. :)

Great price considering that the 2000 minutes does not included incoming!!! What company is this?

Three UK
Effectively it is a £25/month (12 month SIM contract) but only having to pay £15/month.

There's pros/cons about Three. It's very much a pro in my case.

Skimming through this post makes me hate AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint... They are so overpriced... And I have the 21% FAN discount too.

I can't believe how much of a rip-off US contracts are.

I can't express how good Three UK is. The data speeds are significantly higher than any other network in the UK here in London (i get about 13mbps) and the truly unlimited data including tethering is a breath of fresh air.

2,000 minutes and unlimited texts with a free galaxy s3 all for £34/month?

amazing value

With Telus in Canada, my iPhone bill is $125 for two iPhones. Each iPhone has the same plan, they my fiancees and mine. The plans are as follows:

Student $55+ Flex
200 Anytime Minutes
100 Long Distance Minutes
Unlimited Calling after 6PM
Unlimited Weekend Calling
1GB Data
Unlimited Outgoing and Incoming Text and Picture Messaging
Unlimited Calling, Text and Picture Messaging to Favourite 10
Then your standard items (Conference Calling, Visual Voicemail 3, etc.)

Yes we got them as students and Telus got rid of the plans but we get to keep them for as long as we want. The Flex means that when you go over 1GB of Data, your bumped to the next plan which is everything plus 2GB of data for $65 a month. Never had, 1GB is fine for me so our bill a month is usually $125 unless we go over our long distance which brings it up to about $135 if we do for 2 iPhones.

$49.47 w/ taxes included on Straight Talk using the iPhone 4S

3 iphones (2x2GB and 1x300MB), 1 dumb phone, 700 Anytime minutes, unlimited texting, night/weekend minutes...~185/mo. with my education discount.

Unlimited data (but really 2GB)

Is that state tax only or a combination of state and another tax?

What has your experience been like on ST so far? What did you use prior? Asking because I'm contemplating a move to ST. Thanks.

Just changed my contract the other day, this was my contract (with Three UK):
- 500 any network mins
- Unlimited texts
- 5000 three to three minutes
- 1GB data

Had to pay £35/month, £200 upfront for phone (iPhone 4 32GB).

Now on sim-only with Vodafone UK:
- 300 any network mins
- Unlimited texts
- 500MB data

£10.50/month for 12 months, so it's a hell of a lot cheaper than what I was paying, plus I get full signal at home now :D

My experience has been absolutely great! The port and activation process took about 30 minutes to complete. Data speeds are great in my area, call quality is on par as well. You do lose visual voice mail, but that's a small price to pay to save money. I would highly recommend ST.

Here is how Straight Talk breaks my charge down. So in essence, I'm paying more than just sales tax. But it beats the $80/month I was giving VZW each month.

Subtotal $45.00
Discounts and Credits $0.00
Tax1 $2.70
Wireless E-911 Surcharge2 $1.00
Federal Universal Service Charge3 $0.68
Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee4 $0.09
Final Purchase Amount $49.47
