Hello! How much battery does your iPhone drain while you're not using it? Today I did not use my iPhone 5 from 20:00 to 22:00 (2h) and it lost 6% (from 100% to 94%). Is that normal? Thanks a lot.

I am running iOS 8.3. Mail accounts or push or 1h fetch. Background refresh off.

I dont know if its normal. But after i updated my 6 plus to 8.3 my phone is doing same thing in standby. My battery is still good ,but it definetly is draining faster.

Same, it seems to be going faster since 8.3

Mine is iPhone 6, 12 gb, iOS 8.3
When I go to sleep, from 11pm to 5 am it loses 3%, it has been always the same percentage with others iOS.
When I'm exercising (playing football soccer), it loses 4% during 1 hour, I keep the iPhone in my pocket.

Last week I had iOS 8.4 beta 1 installed but I noticed the battery was draining too faster so I decided to get back to 8.3. When in 8.4 during my bed time it used to lose up to 6%.

The battery on the 6 Plus barely moves on standby. Overnight it might lose 1%.

Overnight I lose 0-1% on my iPhone 5 running iOS 8.3.

I turn cellular data and wifi off at night and put the device on "do not disturb". Basically the phone will do nothing unless someone on my favorites list calls.

0-1% here too. iPhone 6+. I have donotdisturb but leave wifi/cellular data on. I have 2 bars of reception where I used to live (just moved and have 3-4) - seems to be the same. Standby battery life has always been insane on my iOS devices.

It depends on what's happening with the phone at the time. Maybe there are some background tasks that it was wrapping up initially or at various times (like notifications coming in and/or background refresh). How good of a signal is in the area, maybe it's not as strong and it takes some more power to stay connected at times. Etc.

My iPhone 6 is a launch-day phone. I put my phone on the charger at night and take it off the charger before I go to sleep. It's always at 100% when I go to sleep and 100% when I wake up. So over 8 hours (or 9) I'm not even losing 1%.

If I leave my 5s running IOS 8.3 on overnight, from 11pm to 7am, on do not disturb, but cellular and Wi-Fi on, I will lose about 1 - 2%.

From 100%-99% takes longer than any other % and most phones are the same. I have charged my iPhone 6 before and took it off charge at around 7 in the evening and the next morning it was still at 100%

If my phone is at something under 100% then I loose max 2% over an eight hour night and that is with one outlook account running push, 4g, wifi, Bluetooth and location always on. Bluetooth not connected to anything overnight and location used only by a few apps.

I was and continue to be very impressed with the battery on my iPhone 6

Same. All of my iPhones (4S, 5, 6) have been able to go 2 days on standby. Would background app refresh have anything to do with the issues in the OP?

    Not really normal

That's how much battery I lost overnight over 12 hours on my 5s. I'm not running IOS 8 though.

Probably depends on how many notifications you have coming through on the phone. That isn't necessarily bad in 2 hours if you have a lot of notifications coming in. Generally though, my phone can be in standby for several hours and the battery percentage barely move. Overnight I probably lose a few percent at most.

My 5S usually drains about 10% overnight, less if it's on do not disturb.

Standby drain depends on a lot of factors, such as signal strength, notifications, and background app refresh.

Overnight, my 6 loses 0-1%. I've noticed that at work just sitting on my desk it will lose a bit more, probably because signal strength is weaker there.

Before 8.2 I was losing about 8-10% overnight. With 8.2 my battery got much better overall and was losing about 2-3% overnight. Now with 8.3 it's back to 8-10%. Pretty frustrating!!

This. Mine is on 8.1.2. My battery life is amazing. 23 hrs and 56 minutes standby with 5 hrs usage and 56% battery left.

Mine stays on 100% for about 5 hrs after unplugging and taking to work with me.

I keep LTE on 24/7 and never enable WiFi. I also have 5 iCloud email accounts being pushed.

I unplugged my 6 right before I went to bed last night after I did a fresh dump of the battery. I went to bed at 12:30am with it at 100% and woke up at 6:15am with the battery at 99%.

I posted earlier but I found my culprit. Somehow the background app refresh got turned back on even though I had it off pre-update. Now I'm getting great battery life just like I was before 8.3. Lost 1% last night instead of the 9-10% that was happening since 8.3.

    iPhone 6 8.2. Maybe 1-2 % over night

Never seen an android phone that could come even close to replicating that kind of standby time

My 5S loses very little in standby, maybe 2-3% or so overnight. It's jailbroken though, so on 8.1.2.

    I think people need to

1 - work the settings app to thwart potential energy drains
2 - stop looking at what happens between 100 and 90 percent, because it's not very accurate.

Well that's a cool story but my Note 3 will only lose 1-2% overnight
