How much RAM can a MacBook take?

Right now I'm running this............

I understand that 2 gig was the max, but the new ones go to 4. Is that a motherboard issue or can I get two 2 gig strips of 667MHz DDR2 and pop 'em in there?

You can't get four, but if you put two 2GB sticks in, it will read 3.3GB.

Well you can pop 2x2GB in there, but only 3GB will show up.

Check how much RAM you can install by checking here,4GB can be installed but only around 3GB will show up
