Wanted to upgrade the RAM but they guy at the mac store was saying the computer only supports 2gb of ram. Is this right? Where can I find out how much it can support?

The former is 2GB, the latter can take 3. What Apple says and what the truth is are very often different. Apple sets their own arbitrary RAM limits.
