I'm going to add some and don't want to buy too much.
You can find specs on all Apple products, including maximum RAM:
By visiting EveryMac.com: Actual Maximum RAM
By selecting your model on the Crucial Memory Advisor Tool to find RAM information
By entering your serial number here to find specs for your model.
(Be aware that some models can use more RAM than Apple shows. Check EveryMac to verify actual usable RAM.)
16gb I believe
32 GB RAM, but as only 8 GB SO-DIMM modules exist, you can only go to 16 GB, which costs around 150 USD via Newegg.

I did, by showing them where to get accurate information. Where did you try to help the OP?
32GB but....since you only have room for 2 modules and 8GB is the max you will find for each module you wont be able to put more than 16GB in at this point
So 2x8GB is the max?
