We got about 3" of snow around here with .25" of ice. Not too much. The most snow I've ever seen was when we got almost 2 feet a couple of years ago which is A LOT for MD. It was so great though since everything was shut down for almost a week.

Todays storm, 3 inches, then it turned to rain. Not fun shoveling heavy wet snow in a downpour.

hey macnut, don't shovel that wet snow. it'll melt (or drive your vehicle up and down the driveway a few times - I've done that even after a big snowstorm here in Canada :) lol

For us, Eastern Ontario, we got a pile - must be close to 10". I just flip my truck into 4x4 and give 'er - vroom vroom :) Although, I will go and shovel even though my neighbours will eventually snowblow it.

It's a weird fetish, but I love shoveling snow late at night when it's quiet outside. I think that started when I was a kid working at McD's b/c I would work the close shift and get home at 1 AM and shovel the driveway for my Dad who was working shift work so he didn't have to do it.

Plus, it's a good workout and it's light enough snow.

I would have let it go if the weather was going to warm up but it is supposed to get cold and that wet snow would just turn to ice.

God did that ice suck. It could not even get into my car until 9:30 because my doors where frozen shut. Then I still saw multiple wrecks at around 10:00am on my 12 miles into work. It was insane.

Than at 4 today on the way home I still slide on the ice.

ya, took me half an hour just to get into my car... ha

About a foot and a half to two feet here in Ontario. I couldn't even walk through the snow today, it would have gotten into my boots, my dog tried though, had to scoop him out.

I'm in southeast missouri about 60 miles south of St. Louis and we got about 7.5 inches dumped on us between monday night and early morning wednesday. Only about 3-4 inches was snow and the rest was all sleet with a little bit of ice mixed in layers. Not fun to shovel, I destroyed a plastic shovel trying to actually. Oh well it got me a 6 day weekend from school, off tues-fri. and then saturday and sunday lol.

Wow that's allot,I'm in upstate New York and we didn't get much snow but record breaking Ice storm which left thousands of people with out electricity .

Yup, about 60 miles from Ottawa. Its not so bad, it was a fluffy snow instead of mixed with ice.

In other news: OC transpo strike is done.

It's melting right now, but freezing rain while I'm typing this.. this isn't fun at all

Inch of ice anywhere I go

The past week in the UK we've had friggin tonnes of unexpected snow. Up to 6 to 8 inches in places... the crazy thing is that while it's lots for the UK, it's hardly anything compared to some places in the states and Canada, really! The whole country grinds to a holt just for a tiny bit of snow... it's madness lol.

Last week it was in the 20's and we had 5" of snow.

This week, it's in the 60s and windy.

I just love our weather
